oh I hope so!!! I've already sold off my astrotrain and blitzwing figures in preparation for their SS86 versions.. since hasbro designers said they'll release everyone in the movie in the SS86 format....

I’m definitely gonna be getting this guy, my siege one is a flipity flopity mess, multiple paint chips and he can barely stand, and when I transform him, none of his parts go in the right place, I got a bad copy

Having a Wrecker deco of this guy, I do agree he still the highlight of the Siege line. Still my best piece in the collection

It looks like they used a more foamy plastic for the legs. Meaning that the transformation stays in place much better. I could be wrong.

Always enjoyed your review po. I owned the Wrecker Deco for Springer because I love the simplicity even more so it’s better packaged. I’m still 50/50 on getting this but I can’t deny, this is a great update to the older Siege mold.

salamat bro! the wrecker springer is exactly the same horrible mold as the siege springer... this mold is a million times better bro... kung makuha mo ng 3,700 or just under p4,000. get mo na! especially if you really like the character

Fantastic review Chefatron!!! There's no denying that this figure is a retool of Siege Springer, but I think there are enough newly sculpted parts to warrant this figure belonging in Transformers collections, even when collectors already have Siege Springer. lol Keep on being amazing.

It is a great figure. Good improvements. But I'm okay with my siege Springer. I don't need a newer version. But the ss86 optimus prime is a must buy. No matter the cost. Good review

actually that's incorrect this is 80% a brand new mold... only the lower legs and forearms and lower torso are from the siege figure, everything else is brand new. I pointed out all of these in the video man, come on....

It's a worthy upgrade of the Siege mold but still feel a bit unjustify of it being priced as a Leader class. My only gripe is the helicopter propeller blades facing the same direction but other than that it's a really worthwhile figure to get. (The Thrilling 30 version is also a very good update for the character but unfortunately not being included in the video 😛)

I think if you can get this for under $50, it's definitely worth it... it really is so much fun and a million times better than the Siege version

Siege Springer scares me because of the translucent plastic used for the vehicle mode cockpits. I'm frightened of it breaking on me because of all of the stress placed onto that piece, but it looks like the Studio Series Leader Springer has far less stress placed upon that piece, plus it's much darker, which it turns out that dark translucent plastic seems to be much more durable over-all. (Though my RID Cryotech might argue this considering two of his wings are snapped and only holding on by a thread, but he might be an outlier.) I'll hopefully get my hands on this new figure soon through TF Source. But I will say, I would prefer that there be no translucent plastic what-so-ever since these days there's no real vehicle mode details to be seen in the cockpits and cabs, just robot parts, and it'd be more screen accurate and cheaper to paint the windows the colors they were in the cartoon and comics. Oh well, I guess that's what Buzzworthy Bumblebee is for...

@chefatron Staying true to oneself may be tough... But you have no choice, my bro, especially when it concerns core principles. Otherwise, it will slowly gnaw you on the inside... PS. Fingers crossed one day, we'll get a head & chest retool of this 'repacked rehashed' toy as Decepticon Deathcobra, partnered with a matching Victory Breastmaster recolour of the Earthrise snake, Slitherfang. HasTakTom could have included swappable parts to this effect in this 'Leader Class' set, to be frank. It would have 'transformed a 'KIV' purchase into a definite MUST-HAVE for us long-time collectors and boosted sales by 1000%!

I don't think ill swap my cool Siege Springer for this one. Just no reason to do this for 1 sword, 1 rocket and 1 unpainted hammer. I like 86 Springers face, its really looks cartoonish, and his chest plate very close to animated. His transformation are 90% of Siege. My Siege copy is perfect, all joints are solid. Love his 2 blades that i can attach on forearms, also they compatible with "swoosh" battle effects. 2 guns more that enough. Same 2 altmodes. This review is very biased, don't fall for it =)
