It's a "nothingburger", sure, but it's the bare minimum people would expect. Beast Machines is the perfect example why using the unused concept art for the toy design, instead of making sure both show and toy designs were similar, would make things worse 💀💀💀

Not really. The proportions were all drastically changed by the animators for the CG models, like how you can see Optimus's torso being far longer. Just go compare Energon Hot Shot or Energon Optimus with their toys vs CG models for example.

I love blowing people's minds that the last 20 years of TF mainline toys owe a lot to Cybertron. A lot of the engineering approach to the line was carried over to Classics, which was the line that began the whole CHUG Era, which had established the G1 emphasis on toys only recently changed by Legacy being pan generational.

What you said about the Siege version is inaccurate. The IDW comic version was actually based on the toy and the toy was a really bad Siege Ultra Magnus retool. It's also worth noting that this isn't even the worst usage of the mold. That award goes to either the Kingdom retool or the Tenseg Optimus recolor, which was releases without any kind of "trailer" and just has the arms sticking out the back of the truck mode.

I have OG Cybertron Optimus too and for the longest time when I was growing up in 2005, I played with Him with the cannons on top instead of underneath his arms. I didn’t realize I had been doing it wrong until 5 years ago.

So here’s some info on the first figure: the galaxy force optimus was a repaint released in 2009-2010 in a dual pack with crumplezone. I don’t know where it was sold outside of the states but it was available at Costco. My grandparents got the pack for me as a Christmas gift

I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing a new Optimus prime figure take a crack at a fire engine. What better than a rescue vehicle associated with real life hero’s who have put their own live’s at risk to save others and acting as a beacon of hope to be the alt mode of Optimus prime a hero that while fictional has touched the hearts of many and inspired countless generations acting as a symbol of hope and a noble leader. Plus since Megatron usually has a tank alt mode it would serve as a nice contrast being a weapon of war that strikes fear into the weak and crushes those who stand in its way. Perfect for the leader of the decepticon’s who is meant to be the foil to Optimus and go’s against everything he stands for… As Megatron say’s it himself…Peace through tyranny… Such a dynamic between the leader’s of each faction would work so well. On one side a war lord who want’s to trample over the weak and burn everything to the ground. On the other a noble leader who stand’s for those who can’t defend themselves as a beacon of light and justice.

Great review. Always fun to watch. I picked up the OG in a $200 random TF box of robot goodness. He was missing pieces but the fun of him made me find and buy another half missing robot to fill in the gaps. Now, he stands proud on my shelf and is actually one of my favourite looking Optimus figures. Highly recommended bot.

I have the Takara version of Galaxy Convoy and it's the best one. The small wings are held in place with pins instead of snapped in and has more/accurate paint apps.

Siege galaxy upgrade prime is OK but it just doesn't compare to the original figure, no flight mode, and non super mode prime does not look like cybertron prime. I much prefer the mold as nova prime.

Cybertron Leader Class would be my first Optimus ever, after decades of ignoring the franchise. I would eventually get Galaxy Force Optimus, and despite its downgrades, I ended up loving it even more with its ball-joint neck, blaster wrists and the generally lower maintenance of it being smaller.

Let's be honest with this versions vehicle form, its half firetruck half semi with artillery lining its back half. Its cool and the artillery comes with wings but its a bit busy and unfocused. Still have one of these (original model) and yeah it's really hard to beat for earth vehicle versions. One note for the emptiness on the backpack is the arms being made so Leobreaker (I think only him) could attach to serve as a big arm, Leobreaker himself being nearly the same size as Optimus.

I love my original Cybertron Optimus, but sadly he's missing one of his back leg connectors that gives him his super mode leg cannons. Which its really hard to find, let alone get by itself.😢😢😢 I'd love to get a new legacy version of him, but it'd deffenetly would need to be commander class to do it justice. The WFC Siege figure is okay, but fell super short of being a good updated version. Most of the WFC trilogy was just a fail due to Hasbro extremely cheaping out on figures It would be funny to get a set of all the Unicron trilogy Optimus's that combine super sentai style to get aUltra Giga Prime. He's powered up so much he can't even move to look Megatron in the eyes. LOL Optimus: "Oh Primus! I need to use the little bots room, but I CAN'T MOVE!!"

@@Samuel_Loegan I can understand that. I missed out on the siege titan class omega supreme due to distributer bs not informing the shop I ordered it through that they bumped it off the order. By the time we realized what happened the only copies available for purchase were secondary market scalper seller's Which jumped the price from $140 to $200+US. I only got one recently because I managed to win a used copy of the Guardian repaint for just under $160. Thank Primus for repainted reissues. I wish you luck for a new version or obtaining the siege figure cheaply.

Sigh...which includes the haslab Unicron that got stolen a couple years back. But that one is low priority with the ridiculously high secondary market. I'd sooner throw my money at a mint thrilling 30 titan class Metroplex mint in box first. My wallet would be less likely to murder me in my sleep over it. LOL

I have that first figure but it is broken to all hell due to 6 year old me being a dumbass, I still remember the poster the toy gives you that shows all the other toys from the same line. The wings on the side of his head and jetpack are gone, I lost the Cyber key, and the lever to move his head up and down fell off. Still my favourit thing and I display it even today. in the hopes I can combine it with the other trans formers one day

Thank God someone else said it, vector prime is absolutely one of the most disappointing pieces of dog s*** Hasbro has ever remade in this lineup. How hard would it have been to make him a leader class and took the time and made an entire brand new mold, including both the sword an actual minicon since we haven't gotten any, and a freaking cyber key. We're already paying like 60 bucks for these craps, and all they want to do is half as the design. There's even leftover plastic components on the figure that play no point in its transformation. From every single review I've seen so far it's the same issues as well, loose parts, inconsistent plastic issues etc. It's just pathetic. I'm so mad, one of the very first releases of the first of the 13 primes and they couldn't even get the very first one right.
