Haha hell yeah, i'm all about modding stuff, my bikes are all heavily customized as well

So strange that they wouldn't have all the eyelets, especially in a Wizard-specific liner. I find that eyelet right at the top of your foot (where a 45 strap would go) is critical in helping to minimize heel lift. I added one in my UFR Intuitions that lines up perfectly with the Fifth Element eyelet and it's been great for aggressive.

Yeah I think they were relying on the shell doing the work to lock in the ankle but I find my foot slides to the front of the shell too easily without the laced up liner

This is exactly what I was looking for. Really like the Wizard liners, but the single eyelet annoys me, particularly using them on anything other than the CJs. Do you feel the eyelet rubbing against the foot when in use?

Glad to pave the way! I havent' felt the eyelets on my foot, i'll try to pay attention to see if I do, but considering I use the premium with eyelets and have never felt those, I have a good feeling that I won't notice these

After being broken in do they fit similar or is the wizard noticeably thinner? Noticed you complained about toe jamming with both.

The wizard liner is noticeably thinner in the toe and foot area, but thicker in the cuff/calf area. I still prefer the way the premium fills the shell but at least now with the eyelets I don’t have any toe jamming happening. TBH the weirdest thing is how the wiz liners feel like they allow more forward flex… the tongue is just as stiff and even taller, but I think the lack of rubberization and thinner main material allow for more movement

Do you think a Dremel could work on the thickest part of the liner? start with a small diameter and gradually making it larger? I might give it a try
@billyarlew5 ай бұрын
The dremel might tear things up too much. The real trick was not as much the diameter of the hole, but rather the thickness of the material causing the two halves of the eyelet to not be able to reach other. So the real time spent was removing foam material from the middle in order to relieve the pressure and allow the eyelets to grab on each other and hold tight

Have you gotten the new boots yet?

Nah I didn't buy them. My current boots are still in pretty good shape :)
