I think the balance of this game is pretty good, my big hope is they do something interesting with the marriage mechanic. My big gripe with many of these cozy games is that once you marry a character, they usually become just another decoration on your farm. I'd love to see helpful spouses that benefit the player in some way, maybe you could invite them to go with you to help in the mines, or to forage, fish or whatever. They used to have a mod that allowed that in Stardew Valley, but the new update broke it, and the mod author has no plans to update the mod. That mechanic give a lot of life to Stardew and I think it would be perfect in this game.

Omg! You have such a valid point! 100% agree with you This is something that makes me sad as well. It’s like this wonderful character you fell in love with, that once had an interesting personality and their own hobbies and work… All of the sudden lost all of their personality and became a dull doll… “Just another decoration on your farm” love how you said that You have such a great idea about being able to go to the mines together! Or forage/fish! It sure will bring a feeling of a partnership! I remember in SV a mod that allowed you to go to random dates with your spouse! They invite you to spend time with them, with dialogues that are suitable for their characteristics. This way you were able to learn even more about your partner and, actually, be excited for the next date! (Ofc it wasn’t 100% canon, these are mod written dialogues and it’s ok! And also, at some point, you loose interest to it as well, because the new dialogues just … finish 🥲) So it would be awesome to have something permanent like what you suggested!
