I kinda disagree with what you’re saying. I’m a big believer in what works well, even better if................ Why change something that works? Maybe the Air Vapor Max sole was created due to the demand of being innovative because it certainly wasn’t created for better comfort. I have been wanting a pair of vapor max for ages, they look the nuts. Tried a pair on last week and was so disappointed with the comfort and lop sided feel, I bought a pair of 2017 Airmax instead. Don’t reinvent what works well.

I bought them the first month they came out from titalo and paid $145, so if you look hard enough you can find them on sale when they first come out. Late comment....The cheaper ,softer material doesn't last as long. The 2017 is "rigid" and "abrasive" for a reason...longevity. Its a style shoe that people buy for comfort ,durability as well as style.

I wish they stopped recycling them. If you look at the old Air Max models, they actually used to look different. Now, they just take the upper and change one or two things and call it a year. It's very upsetting and I wish they just changed it. The 90's air max shoes were SO much better!

You went way too hard on these. I just got them and after slipping them on and walking around for a while (an inch taller), I think they might be the best air Max’s I’ve ever owned. Anyway, it’s subjective. Especially when people have different foot shapes. These are underrated IMO

I saw them, I liked them and I brought them for full price because I could afford them. I passed on the 2014, 2015 and 2016 because I wasn't feeling the wild colour ways but I think Nike got it right with these. Why is it so hard to find these shoes to buy online just 2 years after the release date? Jake Saglio I actually have no issue with Air Maxes, but since both retail for a relatively same price, Adidas has way more innovation at that level. Besides, an air bubble is more likely to burst than a foam midsole. Upperwise, Primeknit and Flyknit are similar, unless you get a mesh Air Max, but that's still overpriced.

Jake Saglio don't get me wrong, I love my ultra boost but I think it's hard to make the claim that the air max is really less innovative. I would definetly say adidas is progressive, but I can't call buying tech off another company that pitched it to one of your competitors first, "innovative". I mean an ultra boost is a sock with melted pellets on the bottom. I would imagine quite a bit more engineering went into designing a pressurized air bubble just right so that it is soft but supported. As a runner, I am still irritated the ultra boost sole is still basically shit way to thin and wears better than the 1.0 but still way too fast for a $180 running shoe. I am surprised that he's would call a shoe having the same sole "lazy" I mean tons of shoes get updated year to year with the same sole: ultra boost sole is basically unchanged except the material and Jordan soles rarely change. I know for me, the last thing I would want on a shoe I enjoy running in would be for them to make a major sole design change.

Why they dont make any ore this 360 air maxes? I had the 2015 and it was so comfortable!! I have now the Airmax 95 but if i walk more than 5km i feel like the outsole is too hard! sir is the Nike air max 2016 or 2017 the closest thing Nike has in terms of cushioning to Ultraboost. I love ultraboost but want to wear a nike too from time to time. My airmax got punctured with a drawing pin and it doesn't comes under warranty but the shock absorbers are holding the back of the shoe good enough to wear it for brisk walking but its not for running anymore .

I have Airmax 97, 2014, 2016 (2 pairs), and 2017. The 2014 and 2017 are the most uncomfortable. The 97 and 2016 are more comfortable. I also have Adidas Ultraboost 19 (2 pairs), Ultraboost S&L, and Alphaboost. All the Adidas shoes are way more comfortable than the Nike ones. The Mizuno Wave Prophecy 3 (4, 5 and up) are also very comfortable, kind of like the Adidas.

Bought air max years ago for highschool. Not one month later they had water in the pocket and they were really uncomfortable compared to my asics gel lyte III. Tried running the weekly mile in gym class with them once and couldn't manage more than a few laps, made my feet really stiff. Literally more comfortable to run in my work boots, never buying airmax again

Air max from 2014 to 2017 don´t change that much but the sole is super comfortable, much more so than the super hyped vapor max. I still have 4 pairs of 2015 air max and I believe those have the nicest aesthetics and fit. I got em at 100 bucks a few months back at the Nike outlet, mine wore down in the front ball of the foot area and now my air is popped on one of them! They were very comfortable for casual wear and walking while I had them, and they make you about an inch taller which can be nice. Still thought that at $100 even, it should have lasted longer than 4 months!

clocked 100 ks / 60 miles running on the 2016, it did a great job, till of course the air eventually blew on one of the soles.. this is outdoor running on concrete and rocks so it was good, and still use it for outdoor use on Hit training, but yea you're right the problem with it is the price point.. comfort great for those who enjoy cushion and are 200lbs+ certainly cop another 2016 as the price lowers thanks to 2017

The yearly air max models aren't really something that change much from year to year, going back to 2006. It's usually better to wait for the previous year's model to go down in price and buy that, just like with car models.

2014 is my favorite. All i own is airmax 2014 and up the 16s are very nice too. I love them all, very comfortable. Got the new vapormax also they're comfortable but take some getting used to. I prefer the the 14 style soles better tho
