Is it worth it to study Multimedia Arts and Design? (Philippines)

Super relatable and relevant nitooo. Nakarelate din ako sa part na I only know how to read and write hangul and understand some phrases and words but not really conversing. Watching the whole video helped me a lot rin. I've been a freelance graphic designer for years already but MMA was only my second choice when it comes to college kase I thought I could just continue learning on my own and taking psychology would be better para dalawa income streams ko, but then ayun I changed my mind after a gap year kaya nagshift ako to MMA (I think namention ko din to in the other video huhudsbjbgk) kaya ayun, watching this video made me realize a lot of things and mas naliwanagan ako na worth it tong decision ko to continue with MMA.

Hello po tanong lang po ano po ba pinagkaiba ng multimedia arts sa bachelor of fine arts major in visual communication/advertising? Pwede din po ba yung fine arts in advertising kung gusto maging graphic designer?

Hi po ate Ica. Tanong lang po upcoming grade 11 student po ako, gusto ko po talaga yung course na multimedia arts pero paano po kung walang arts and design track/strand yung school na pageenrollan ko (correct me if i'm wrong po) kasi ang pagkakaalam ko po ay need talaga yung arts and design track/strand kapag gustong mag multimedia arts? Hindi po ba pwede yung GAS strand? Thank you po.

I've heard some students didn't get design track pero nakapasok sila sa MMA. Ok naman ang GAS since may variation siya ng subjects :)

One question! Do you often move or rent houses and apartments because of your job? Like lilipat po kayo because mas malapit siya sa company or office? Or is it mostly work at home? Also very informative video! I’m taking multi media arts major in graphic design this year. Was just curious if I will often move for a job if after I graduate.

Hello! It really depends on a lot of things. 1. Nature of work: If work mo is mostly post-production (editing), it's possible that you'll work from home. If you'll focus on graphic design, bigger chance for a WFH set up. Syempre kapag production stage, you go on shoots and travel more. 2. Company set up: Depends if management is for WFH, hybrid, or full capacity set up. Also take into consideration if you'll go freelance tapos post-prod lang services, WFH talaga. 3. Location: If you are far from the office and required to go to work (F2F set up), you might have to rent. Some companies provide dorm/units for their employees for a much lower price. BSIT-MMA is focused on programming and web applications. Similar din naman sila ng MMA but if may interest ka sa computer science and graphics, baka mas fit siya sayo. 🙂

Ask ko lang po sa Saint Benilde ikaw po ba ang pipili ng major mo like bachelor in multimedia arts major in .....? kung yes, may I know ano ano ung mga major na yon. Thank you po!

There's no title that will be added to your course - "major in...". But you will choose your own electives in Benilde. Merong specific electives for these branches: web, graphic design, animation, interactive content, video, gaming, sounds, photo, and marketing.
