Things you should do to get better rates: - Mine 3 gemstones at the same time, onyx, aquamarine and peridod. This way you can skip whatever gems are not there and you dont have to lobby hop. - Disable efficient miner, you mine to much if you dont lobby hop as much and you spend a lot of time walking between gem spawns. - Get cold resistance enchant + equipment + hotm tree so you dont lose mining speed up to maybe 30 cold, when you get to 30 just warp to the campfire in the same lobby. - Use scatha pet outside of shafts, use golem inside with pet rules and collect corpses first for more pristine inside shafts. - Be in a party of 2, whenever you get a shaft check if there is a profitable gem in there. If not, dont warp your friend in so their tunnel counter does not reset. If there is a good gem inside warp and mine the shaft. Rates are better in there with the extra pristine and hotm perks. Also there you have all gems for yourself and your friend. Being alone wont help since you get to much cold before you can mine all gems efficiently. Should help you a lot (:

It's actually better to have it on. The cold slows you down significantly and actually gives you worse rates if you have it off. Not to mention other people are constantly doing their commissions too, so it's better to mine as much as possible as fast as possible than to mine each gemstone one by one.

If you mine 2 types of gemstones at a time that wont matter. Never use eff miner if ur mining gemstones for coins

@matrix9506 because blocks broken by efficient miner doesn't proc pristine, which is how you make money with mining gemstones. It kills your rates

If you are mining peridot in the first spot then unless you have max mining setup (with divan drill max powder) then it will have respawn so you can just warp base and then go back But of course if someone is there as well then it will be a little weird rates

@emlynch201168 This only applies to crystal hollows. In the tunnels, it's actually better to have eff miner on than off.

@emlynch201168 The reason for this is because of the cold. Unless you have really high cold resist, there's almost no point not to use eff miner. Another reason is because of the amount of space there is, or lack thereof. People will be doing their commissions no matter what lobby you're in, and the slower you are at mining those gemstones, the higher likely someone will just swoop in and mine everything for their commissions and it's so easy for that to happen because everything is just a few steps away. It's better to mine as much as possible as fast as possible than to try to mine every little block one by one.

Neu (Not Enough Updates) has waypoints for all spots, he used custom ones from skytils. But SkyHanni has a navi for the tunnels, so I would recommend SkyHanni.
