I often think is it worth studying in design college at all ..cuz if we just let go the mentality of degree holder...we can get work if we r talented..not only I believe in it...I can give tons of examples ..afterall ...what matters the most is ..can u show ur potential through ur portfolio enough so that companies can hire u.. explore , excite urself and dive deep in world of design ..if u r passionate enough u will be satisfied financially and mentally.✌️

This is okay but there is no loss in applying just for enterance exam and qualifying in it with top rank,it will just confirm the talent.you can even leave that college after selection.

The fees of private colleges is very high.... And if you are looking at ROI, it is not a good investment......

All I know is that I am creative when I come across a question and I can create designs on tab. But I am not sure if I will get the perks of getting mentored, learning the known principles, reading books by great designers, learning new techniques etc. If I chose to be self-taught

Basically it's just a designation ( name) ...it doesn't matter ..what u grasp from those course that's matter the most ...by the way if we look abroad degrees ( international )and in INDIA .they put whatever designation they prefer like some colleges give b.sc in animation ..some b.des in animation ..so it's basically just a bachelor's degree carry name of b.sc in or b.des in.....

Honestly, let me tell you that these design colleges are only for higher rich class citizens. I am a self taught Digital Artist, Illustrator and Learning UXUI design from online sources. Work on your Portfolio because it's the most important criteria based on which company hires. Upgrade your skills regularly, build a strong observing skill. You can get there only by practice, learning regularly, understanding concepts. Carry it as a hobby or passion now, maybe one day it can be your main profession.

Hi sir actually you said absolutely right sir. i passed my 12th in 2019 due to high fees charged of all good design college i am just not able take any good design college. My nid air is 1328 and cr is 190 My uceed air is 2801 cr is 384 In last year 2020 could you plz suggest me how to start my design study. i was spoil my 2 year only bcz of high fee charged of these college 🙏🙏🙏

I think design is a field where Self learning helps ALotttttt!! Don't just pay huge loads of fee to these fancy party institutions who r just there for business. If you can crack Govt. colleges then it is fantastic but if not, go for any type of degree and do it yourself, there are thousands of stuff available on net for free. world is flat after Google chrome, companies wont ask you about any college degree if you are truly skilled in this subjective job... ATB
