I'd be totally down for couples throwing a huge 10- or 20-year anniversary party. That'd show that their bond was legit, and it'd way more meaningful than putting on an overpriced wedding gown and tux, especially since nowadays couples are usually banging before they get married in the first place.

Unfortunately Dave didn't catch that. That's a major red flag. if she truly threatened to postpone the wedding over him not doing home renovations before she moves in there then she is an absolute child and he's headed for doom.

Likely a red flag, but it would depend on what he means by "home renovations." If the house is on the verge of being condemned, then it would be more understandable that she is pushing for renovations.

Just to clarify, I think the bigger red flag is her amount of debt vs her salary, not necessarily the home renovations. But a red flag is a red flag, I wouldn't want to combine incomes with her!

Exactly! If home renovations and debt reduction is important then do a simple wedding with immediate family only, set aside an emergency fund then pay off debt as quickly as possible

Why is one collection agency who purchased charged off debt threatening to sue me? They sent a letter saying they will garnish my wages and my bank account.

They cannot garnish your bank account if they never get access to it (or if you feel like they do have access, take out all the money and deposit it into another account.)

Most creditors now don't even sell to collectors anymore including health care creditors they just warehouse her debt. I love the dead beats. This guy's marrying a woman who can't budget and will welch on debt bad signs. This guy's a meal ticket to her I guess god provided.

How is Dave any different from caller ? He says Sharon want to get a better car but Dave said he wanted to use the money to grow the business !! What about "Values" as presenter said and pay your debt off, even though made himself bankrupt ?? Caller right in my eyes if you dont need credit in future but Dave know it also but cant agree on air as banks would be pissed surly? again only my opinion and not proffessional advice.

talking of values, did Dave go back and pay off all his debts from bankruptcy now that he is worth millions ?? I think not, so please don't talk about values to pay a debt. So why worry about destroying a credit as Dave said when the goal is to never use credit again ? Default like Dave applied for bankruptcy and start again. Dave cant condone that, but if not worried about getting mortgage for 6 years in uk. Its an option but get professional advice. Just my opinion.
