I really like this theory! It’s something unique I haven’t heard before from the community. This show has a lot of subtle set up and payoff in various scenes. I’m curious to see if Jax’s no breathing quirk becomes relevant. It would be great writing. Notice how he says in the first episode that when he says “we’ve been stuck here for years”, he looks away! When people lie, there is a common habit of not looking others in the eye. He might be jumping in and out of the game for fun, going completionist mode and unlocking every secret. Who knows! Awesome video man.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my theory! Yeah, the show has a lot of subtle things that seem to be building up in the background. I did notice when he said that in the first episode. I think I mentioned it in the first draft of my script but I left it out in the final version since my initial video had 2 crazy theories and I had to leave the other one out so things wouldn't get too confusing. Caine also does the thing when he jolts his eyes in two directions when he comes up with an excuse for the exit doors near the end of the episode. It would be interesting if Jax can jump in and out of the game. As a character he definitely seems to be hiding something. Thanks!

If you really think about it in the 3rd episode when Jax doesn't want to hold his breath. it's because it probably makes him go through objects so thats why he refuses because everyone would see him go through the floor

It would be too risky to do it in front of the others. Maybe he would go through the floor. Or if any of the other characters touched him, then they would pass right through his character model.

@@ytsnieszka235 I said he does not open his mouth. (his grin is ever present/his teeth are clenched). According to my theory, he does this to hide whether he's breathing or not. Even if his mouth is closed, he should be able to breath through the gaps from his teeth.

Jax can run very fast. That scene was meant to showcase his cartoony nature and it was most likely a reference to the classic cartoon that's called - "Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner".

the vid is cool editing perfect theory perfect accept.. what about when caine explained what the "backrooms" are, basicly its his creation that is suposed to simulate the real world or something see yourself so whould you say that thing that he intetntionally made a secret door with a key hole even tho he can just open doors even with his mind if he wants to cuz its his creation. You could say its to keep the others players away but he can just make doors and portals apear and disapear in an instant so i dont think he whould keep a secret door that he made just for himself and let it stay in place if he can just make another at any time (sorry for being the nerd emoji🤓)

When Caine explains the exit door's origins, notice how he hesitates and averts his eyes in both directions, when he says "ended up never quite finishing it". This is a subtle hint that he's still hiding the truth imo. Or if the Exit doors themselves and the Backrooms are some kind of a glitch then they would be out of Caine's control. Or if the developers created the backrooms as some kind of a backdoor mechanism that contains the code of the game itself, then not even Caine would be able to access it in theory.

I kinda see it like this, whenever he interacts or touches any part of the world he's in, it would count as digital data and his ability would be able to interact with it, allowing him to manipulate and freely pass and move where he wants. Whether he chooses to go up, down or simply to pass through an object would be up to him. 🤔

Why do so many people like this theory I personally think this theory is false And my explanation for Jax stealing the keys is that he's just trying to cause mischief and he's able to easily steal the keys because he is a cartoon rabbit The fact that he is a cartoon rabbit also explains him running away really fast in a puff of smoke, seemingly teleporting, in episode, and ignoring physics in episode 2
