Is Jesus Really God?

Hi, I just finished watching your two sermons on witnesses to JW’s. You did an awesome teaching! You would refer to your notes in the video. Is there a way that you could upload your notes so that I could have them too. I’m meeting with JW and this would be so helpful. Thanks

If Jesus is God then WHO was he praying to ? ......If Jesus is God then why did he say "I am going back to MY GOD and MY FATHER ? So WHO is the God of Jesus, and what is his name, when you find the answer to that question then you will see the TRUTH behind WHO God is ! Jesus backed up that belief when in prayer to his heavenly father said,...”"This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17: 3. Notice how he calls his father the ONLY TRUE GOD! The first century Christians taught the same when they preached for example 1 Cor 15: 24-28 where we see in Vs 24 that Jesus has a GOD AND FATHER and that in Vs 28 he SUBJECTS himself to his God & Father! SOME do say however, that Jesus does address God as his God and his father because he was A MAN however one of the clearest scripture which shows that Jesus is NOT God is Rev 3:12 where we see Jesus as NOT a man but back in heaven: "The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. New International Version So WHO is the God Of Jesus, and what is his name ? Can you answer this ?

You have to understand that in the Bible the word for God is "Elohim" and means "Mighty ones" Now in today's modern language we have restricted the word "God" to mean the "almighty" basically the creator, but that was NOT so in the Bible days ! And I will show you. For example did you know that people, kings and judges in the Bible were CALLED Gods ? To illustrate, Psalms 82 says: (now this is God speaking) 1 God takes his place in the divine assembly; In the middle of the gods* he judges: And Vs 6 “I have said, ‘You are gods, All of you are sons of the Most High. Wow, did you notice how even Jehovah calls them "Gods" and HE says "I have said "You are Gods" ......so the question is HOW were they Gods ? And when you have come up with the answer to that, then you will answered the question "How can Jesus be a God " ! Did you know Moses too was called "God" so was not that polytheism ? So if God can give the title of God to angles and people then WHY can't he give the same title to his son? You cannot allow the restrictive use of the word "God" in today's modern English language to restrict the way the term was used in Bible times !

You should not let today's modern languge dictate what was a common practice back then of giving people the title "Elohim" (mighty one) as it is this word we translate as God. Just because today the word God is used exclusively for the ALIMIGHTY our modern restriction of the word cannot dictate what was the norm back then........ And I will show you. Jesus is GODS SON......and he too has a God himself, his name is Yehovah ! There, that was not to difficult now was it !

How you explain when he says that he doesn't know the Hour !!!.... God is all knowing. and in John he says '' I can of mine do nothing as i hear ijudge and my judgement is just because i seek not my will but the will of the father who hath sent me ''. God according to you change his nature and mind ( he is immortale in 2 Timothy 1 15...16) and become a man. God cannot eat God cannot sleep !! How you explain Mark 11:12-14 he was hungry .... You are a misguided person.

Tarik Rafiki There is an answer to that. Please look into the Jewish feasts. In researching, you will actually see that they used a very well known idiom for the Feast of Trumpets.
