The biggest mistake that Cam Ward did last year is that he committed to Miami very late. I think we would it had better WR’s if he would had committed earlier. Don’t get me wrong we had a decent group of WR’s. However, we didn’t have that elite WR.

Go for Mateer! He is clearly a better QB than the current QBs we have on the roster. I know it's a tough sell to current and future QBs we recruit, but we need to Win now. We can't go from 10 Wins to 7 next year..

Why don't you guys go for Mendoza, he's definitely the best QB in the portal. And he's a native son, he's a favorite son, I would think he would want to play there badly. But I guess you have Emory, who is a very similar QB, and pretty good too. So it would be weird to bring in almost a carbon copy, even though Mendoza is better in every way. j

Wrong. The players at SMU for the most part played at Miami. It also comes down to your coaching style and fit for the players. Look no further than Smith…. He didn’t want to play RB at Miami.

Clear as day is playing with his coaches he had success with and Oklahoma is Oklahoma we are deeper than Miami have 10x the tradition. Every team has to lose players you jokes of content creators can't pimp sunshine all you want. Every team has to bring their rosters down. We are playing chess while you guys are playing checkers. The receiver room and oline room we have right now are 100 percent better than what you guys have right now.

Big difference with the o line, running backs, and tight ends we have back next year. Oklahoma was terrible on offense and has nothing relevant coming back. We need receivers which we will get in the portal to compliment the young guys Jojo

This is playing out exactly as I said it would. I complained all season that there were little to no game reps for development of the 9 WR backups. Now, going into year 4 of Mario’s tenure, zero (0) returning experience for any Mario recruited WR. I said they would portal over the previous WR classes, and that's exactly what they are doing. Honestly, I don't know why any WR would come here out of high school. Only 4 WRs are going to play, and they're taking at least 2 and perhaps more from the portal. Make no mistake, the guys that are getting paid to come to Miami are the ones that are going to play.

@JamesBooker-k8x TVD never really developed mentally. The days of kids staying in your program 3-4 years are basically over. If a kid like Noland can't get on the field it means he's not good enough. Is he a good take on depth alone ? I guess, but we need an immediate starter. Emory & Luke Nickel will be the depth and the year after Dereon Coleman comes in and all 3 can compete for the job. Right now it's only Emory so the impact portal qb is mandatory with a tougher schedule next year.

Yes D Line is a huge seperator between the haves and the have nots. The thing is our DL this year should have been good enough for our defense to play well as it was the unquestioned strength of our defense. Lance Guidry can't scapegoat his defense line for the absolutely horrible job he did as DC this year. This was the worst coached defense I've seen in I can't remember how long it was that bad. Players couldn't line up they couldn't cover, they couldn't tackle and they were confused by motion. It was a total clown show!

105 scholarships are a waste of money in a time when revenue sharing is coming. There's only about 60-70 players thst see the field or in the 3 deep. I don’t see the point of extra players who are NOT going to be an impact on game day. These guys will never see the field. We're portaling over guys that should be starters or high snap count players. There’s no way a 3rd or 4th string player worth his salt is sticking around lost on the depth chart. For the most part, those extra scholarships will be for walk-ons. Why take a scholarship and be 5th or 6th string and never see the field? You can go to a lower tier program, get developmental game reps, and transfer to a bigger program later in the process.

I hope John Mateer choses OU, because Miami really should give the QB’s they recruited out of high school a chance to play. Or else, every QB in the subsequent recruiting class knows they will forever be a benchwarmer and play behind the portal QB that is brought in every year. Additionally, if Miami’s high school recruited QB’s don’t get to start, it will look horrible on their recruiting and their QB development.

Besides UM’s being as bad as they are, we already have an offensive formula where any QB including Emory would be successful, contingent on if the OC coordinator stays! The focus on this year’s portal should be defensive help, especially the DLine! Lesson learned, defensive wins championships!

@ our DLine became nonexistent the last 5 games which led to LBs and CBs being exposed! Ex. Baron was dominating the first 5-6 games and then all of a sudden fell off the map! Our QB pressures declined, sacks declined, and TFLs declined significantly! DBs and LBs can only cover for so long!
