The very idea that Trump will not face accountability is an injustice to the American people.

It's actually a sign of how broken the justice system really is. Where does it say that all trials have to take a back seat to someone's own political ambitions? Trump (and his lawyers) have made a mockery of the justice system. But I have to say they've been ably assisted by weak judges who've done everything they can not to stand in his way, and applying a completely different approach to one that they'd typically use with any other defendant coming before them. Then there's the corrupt judges that have seemingly been sought out by Trump, for whatever gains they can offer. And it goes all the way up to the Supreme Court. I'm actually interested in how someone like Harry, the Meisellas brothers, Popok and Agnifolo all put their collective trust into a system that is clearly failing the American public. They keep telling everyone that justice is catching up with Trump and his co-conspirators. But is it really? If the unthinkable happens and Trump somehow manages to win the election, what then? Obviously the nation will be plunged into being an autocracy with Trump seeking revenge on all those he feels that he was wronged by. Project 2025 makes it clear that the intent for Republicans will be to remove anyone who doesn't pledge immediate and total fealty to Trump and his new regime. So what's going to happen to the courts?

I'm also in Australia and watch a lot of the MeidasTouch postings because I think they give a pretty good legal explanation of what is happening, why it's happening and what would normally be expected to come next. But despite repeatedly seeing the hosts all saying that Trump and his lawyers are all making bad moves, and their filings are all destined to fail spectacularly, I've become increasingly frustrated over time by the lack of progress in the US courts. At every turn Trump's goal has basically been to stall everything. He wanted all his legal problems to be dismissed, but failing that, he wanted them all delayed until at least after the Presidential election. And the reason for this has always been pretty clear. Trump desperately needs to win the Presidency back so that he can make all of these legal actions against him go away. He wasn't sure that all his efforts in placing corrupt judges would be enough to win him his freedom.
