Kamala Harris is roundly considered to be a bad vp. Quayle was a running joke as well. George HW Bush was a horrible vp as well. I could go on.

@@dante040 Bush was bad because he was the head of the cia. While he was vp, he helped cover up his iran contra scandal. When made president he continued covering it up by pardoning Elliot Abrams, Duane Clarridge, Alan Fiers Jr, Clair George, Robert McFarlane, and Casper Weinberger. Enough said.

Does this include VPs who go on to be President, due to the incapacitation of their predecessor, or is that "cheating the answer"?

It’s because they’re not given much power But as Vivek Ramaswamy said It doesn’t have to be that way if you have a good executive President that isn’t bought and paid for

How do I formally switch my party affiliation to the cocktail party? I've been trying to decide who gets my write-in vote this year and I think Peter might be my new leading candidate. I guess that I just love the idea of seeing that Negroni pin amongst the sea of American flag pins.

Just a heads up…KZbin has not shown this video in my “history” or “recently watched”. I often only have 20-40 minutes to listen at a time, and re-visit a longer video (like this one) multiple times throughout the day. I This video wouldn’t show up unless I intentionally sought it out, unlike all the other videos I watched that instantly showed up in my history. Weird.

Shouldn’t be a surprise. With Biden’s poll numbers, the censorship for the next 5 months is going to make 2020 look like the Libertarian concept of free speech.

The steelman for tariffs should be that China heavily protects its markets and excludes competition wherever it can.

I don't know how we could come out of the covid shortages and not recognize this. Having small kids during this time and seeing both the formula and children's medicine shortages really emphasized that we need to produce vital products domestically.

Reason you know you are right about so much but your tariff talk ehich is right is also like your immigration talk which is right except its right in a vacuum not in our reality. The EPA and many federal agencies apply huge Tariffs on our companies in the form of ludicrous regulations, so to not apply tariffs on foreign goods puts our companies at a ludicrous disadvantage. Trust me we want to manufacture those things here, manufacturing so much overseas is actually a huge pain to U.S. business I think if you really look at it labor rates were not why U.S. manufacturing died in America it was the EPA Remember you can not just magically have a great economy without actually building things, you end up with an economy built on BS companies like Facebook a company that fired 25 percent of its staff shortly after the last presidential election. Imagine being able to fire 25,000 employees with no impact to your product output? That is a fake company with a fake valuation and you end up with a country living on paper ponzi schemes

KMW says "I consider myself a small L libertarian but not in the LP." If everyone who described themselves as small L libertarians would just join the LP it would;dn;t be the shite show it is now. All you good libertarians out there are sitting on the sideline es and then you complain "there's no major party worth supporting". Look in the mirror!

The argument for tariffs should be something like buying so much from China increases the strategic risk of the country. So the money collected from tariffs should be used to finance stockpiles. Given that EVs and batteries have a shelf life, about a seventh of the existing stock piles should be disposed of each year. This would provide enough inertia and inefficiency in the system to temper China's poor decisions. OTOH, with aluminum and steel, the argument is that they undercut western produced materials because of using coal, so you could have longer term stockpiles with less turnover, combined with tariffs that are targeted based on carbon dioxide emissions. Similarly, rather than putting tariffs on medical supplies with the view of having domestic production, there could be a stockpile with turnover financed by a tariff.
