Why isn’t it their fault exactly? I love Kane and son but it’s absolutely their fault for not winning trophies. They have been in an CL final, neither scored. A league cup final, neither scored. They were close the winning the league, but didn’t score when it mattered most. Their failure to score in those matches cost them 3 trophies. On the other hand, drogba has played 10 finals for Chelsea, he scored in 9 of those finals and Chelsea won 8 trophies because of it. This isn’t even counting his goals contributing to 3 premier league wins

Son and Kane played for Tottenham but they ended up finishing 3rd in a two horse title race between themselves and Leicester.... That's the difference between a great duo and a good duo. Even if Henry were given the award over nedved (debatable but I get it because Italian football was considered superior in that era (how times have changed) Ronaldo wasn't just having a good season but was clearly the best player in the world over that period. His achievements individual and or as a team still falls in comparison to what Ronaldo was doing in that 3 year period. Take the feelings and passion out, objectively speaking what did Ronaldo not achieve? Even if you ignore stats, the pure raw talent and entertainment we got from winger Ronaldo was something else and you add output and trophies and records to that. Also unlike Messi/Ronaldo era, the talent was more spread out then be it Zidane, R9, Ronaldinho and so on. And good that it seems like you're old enough to have seen him (unlike most of youtube audience lol). He definitely was a joy to watch. As united fan, him and bergkamp were scary. So i get what you mean and not questioning abilities at all. I think its a mixture of 2 things for difference in opinion: 1. I've found Henry (as good as he is) slightly underwhelming in big games/moments compared to his peers of that era. example: both the world cup and CL win, he was very much in the periphery. and stats like no goals in finals (still hard to believe for a player of his calibre) 2. I've always rated the winger ronaldo's overall play very highly (perhaps even more than the forward ronaldo i might say). He was just so complete with dribbles, skills, pace, freekicks (that portsmouth and arsenal fk are something else), heading, long shots. he was virtually unplayable in every game. I do think you're making sense so no disrespect but if i had to pick between the two players to add to my team for a final and my life dependent on it. It would be 08 Ronaldo.

Also i don’t think he was on the periphery of Barca’s ucl win, he played 10 games in the ucl that season with 5 goals and 3 assists, he also played in the final against United, and the world cup win he was a young newcomer to the team he still managed 3 goals in 3 games though. Rory is right though. As much as son & Kane have stats on their favour, it hasn't benefitted Spurs like the other Duos have. So to put them in that top 5 is a travesty. Even Liverpool benefitted more from Salah and Mane.

I know Robert was great, but surely the obvious link was Dennis (or was it just too easy an option)? I'm sorry, if we're talking about the relationship, that's different from just being the best players, & kane & son are far better than that, I actually felt for Abbey, almost screaming for case, & acknowledging her club is rubbish.
