These politicians always prescribe a top-down approach where they recommend drastic changes in governance and administration. That's another way of saying: vote for me, I'm better than the current lot, I'll change everything. The real solution is in bottom-up approach where change begins from the grassroots and moves up. It doesn't require a seat at the table, just a couple of highly motivated individuals.

The solution Pakistani economists give to a 1000 rupees problem is to reduce 10 rupees worth of extravagant spending in a 100 rupees budget. Pakistanis don't know the art of creative problem solving, but find creative ways to highlight that problem. Perhaps a reallocation of creativity might help?
