i got this ship on a super container back then for free. i tried it , i loved it, it is very good at randoms and mediocre at ranks. i love this ship especially with lutgens as the commander it can dodge shells very easily it has a very easy acceleration times it has heal and another heal with lutgens skills it is very manueverable nice speed for a dd very easy to manage aim lead with its guns you gotta have the long range commander skill (AFT) and most of the time the enemy will let you pass as a ship that is not worth their time. just spam he and later you get reload buff.

Thanks to the previous christmas crates i already got her and still using from time to time. Htting cruiser citadels with AP is so satisfying with her. She wasn't a popular drop during free tier 6 ship anniversary crate as far as i know so there should be decent amount of people that wanna get this ship and 2.5k doubloons price tag is worthy among the other goodies for sure. 12:45 I did the math, and it's better to take SE than superintendent. Each heal (with the flag) heals for 12% of your maximum HP. SI: 16,500+(4*1980)=24,420 potential HP SE: 18,600+(3*2232)=25,296 potential HP Unless you really feel like the extra speed boost is necessary, SE is mathematically the better choice.

yeah but you might not have time to use all your heals. Also you have to take account of unhealble damage. Sometimes it doesn't allow you to use all heals at full potential.

@@tablepot If you don't have time to use all your heals, then it's a moot point. Also, destroyers don't take unhealable damage the same way larger ships do. A battleship (with a handful of exceptions) can only heal 10% of citadel damage, but destroyers don't have citadels.

@@tablepot A destroyer will heal that damage at 50%, the same as damage from artillery. A Ryujo torpedo does 5K damage maximum, for example. According to the wiki, a hit on the midsection of a destroyer deals 33% of its maximum damage, so 1650. You can heal 825 of that damage, whereas a battleship would only heal 10% of whatever damage it took (after being reduced by its torpedo belt).

@@crazykev5it's an alright ship. Not going to blow your socks off, but can be good. Imagine Graf Speed with accurate guns, reload booster and a bigger hull.

Ran into one today while playing the Atlantico. Ap hits hard, but that armour likes to eat my secondaries. 33 hits for 12.5k damage.

I disagree about dockyards. As a frugal player who only spends small amounts when worth (i have spent abt 20 bucks for littorio and dubs) I absolutely love the ability to get free high tier ships from dockyard at the expense of a little more time in game grinding some tasks on brawls/coop/randoms. Being able to play ranked and get enough dubs to get Michelangelo, Wisconsin, and Oquiendo all while simultaneously earning 11k coal extra nearly every week I play has really kept me engaged and coming back to the game. Ive made like 300k coal past few months and have several free ships to show including free rochester from another event. Dockyard plus brawls is so worth i find it reasonable to get at least half the dockyard done to get the price down to a reasonable 90ish usd for Wisconsin if you play a few hours a week even. Anyways ill be enjoying all my free ships love the content will probably try to grind ranked so I can get enough dubs to buy this DD😂. TLDR: DOCKYARDS WORTH MAN UP AND DO A FEW MISSIONS

The biggest thing out of the current premium Event Pass is the Schlieffen Eagle permaflage. I got it back when the line was released (as did a lot of players) since it's arguably the best looking EA permaflage they've ever done. And back then if you completed the full F2P portion of that event it was about $100 in bundles to get it.

The aiming system doesn't pull your shells low. The enemy ship maneuvered away from you at that time.

I got K.S. years ago in a bundle with skipper Johannes Meck-Leyne. They're still together, and I enjoy taking it out now and again. I can't find my T-61...must've sold it(stoopid). Maybe I'll try to do a ship restoration!

I seldom pass on a cheap ship, but having the T-61, I cannot imagine passing up the 61 to play this. T-61 is such a monster, and I am finding, over time, players do not know what it is and challenge its sonar for caps. Free kill, free cap, rinse and repeat. And very nutritious.

Didn't intend to buy it because other Wows KZbinrs said the DD not worth it. You made it look east and I did intend to go through the Kléber line but I better keep my doubloons for the Black Friday battle pass and the containers. Great review though. Thanks.😁

I got the Karl von Schönberg in a crate last Christmas. When I first got it I was a bit confused as to its play style. I was not expecting a Tier 6 gunboat DD. I like it but at Tier 6 I will pick my T-61 over the Karl von Schönberg 9 out of 10 times.

I personally LOVE this ship. With dazzle and swift in silence this ship is a strong open water gunboat. It has good torps, very accurate guns at range, and the heal allows you to take some fights you might otherwise not engage. Imo one of the strongest gunboats at T6.

what kind of dented advice is this, to waste 8 points? dazzle? Dazzle: of those 15s of active time, you wont even noticeably speed up, and dispersion buff maybe affects 1-2 salvos (account for enemy turret rotation and reloads), and then nerf own reload when you are gunboat? whats next? no SE on shima, because well you want to be unspotted anyways?

You will get 7950000 of credits as a compensation. For comparison, if you exchange 2500 dubs for credits directly, you only get 3750000 credits.

As someone who was unlicky enough to get Karl von Schonberg in last year's Santa crates, no. It just doesnt really excite me, and since I was lucky enough to also pull T-61 with the same crates, I play that over Schonberg in ranked.

@@L0RDLUK Helldivers 2 finally aknowledged the balancing issues and made a huge turn in that regard. But there are still plenty of issues with that game. The balancing is still not perfect. The games progression and lots of content for progression is behind the battlepasses, which sucks a lot. So there isn't a good "free" progression system atm. Tons of bugs, making the game unplayable at times, reducing your already gimped progression even more, because half the games crashes. Got a crash? sorry you just played almost 40 minutes for nothing... Sure you can get those SC during missions, but they nerfed the loot pool a bit in the past, while also pumping those passes at a really fast pace. Also don't forget, if the game crashes, which is basically half the time, those SC are gone. Overall HD2 has a huge fiasco behind it with plenty of hate they rightfully deserved for their mindblowing balancing disaster and i would say they still don't deserve the praise they got early on, but with the last patch at least there is hope for a better future.

@@Anldiot69 Even if you pay for the Warbonds with real money, you still need to play the game to get medals. As you said you can get SC for free in the missions, but what you said about them disappearing if the game crashes is a lie. The moment you collect SC or Medals it is automatically added to your account, even if you're kicked or you game crashes or you lose connection, you will still have the SC you collected. You can test this by starting a low level mission and finding a place with SC, collect it and then disconect your internet, you can then drop on the EXACT same map and go get the exact same SC, you won't get anything from it, because the server already aknowledged you picking up that SC drop.

Your pronounciation is quite well. No need to say sorry... The ship is great when a cruiser shows broadside or when you can hit bow or stern from a bb. But it's not good as a cap contestor and you have to like the (French dd) playstile.

A lot of players already have this ship from crates, credits as comp is nothing. Steel, community points or research bureau points would work as comp for already having the ship... even coal would be better, but credits is like saying to the player base we expect you to shell out dubs for a low value battle pass. When there was an opportunity to save dubs on the dockyard if you already had the event pass ship, the bp was worth buying... WG please try harder to offer decent value to long term players.

It needs the heal…. Torps are worse (7.5km vs 8) than its clone (Gaede) and the guns are mah imho. I was hoping for something a little different I guess. Still I whale the second line for the steel and so the ship is a nice add-on.

I got T10 for 250db today , I got lucky with premium crate and I have Hildebrand ... oh tho I got 2 Hildebrands for 1250db & 25k coal on 2 accounts , I was bit less lucky on my main account , I need to spend there 250 db bundle , then 25k db crate & 2nd 750 db bundle to get her., .

So you have a DD and you don't take SE... or even worse, you have a DD with heals, without smoke and you don't take SE :-) Please guys don't use PQ experimental shit builds. Always use SE on DD!
