Embark on a journey beyond our solar system to Kepler 22-b, an exoplanet located 600 light-years away that has captured the imagination of astronomers and space enthusiasts alike. Nestled in the habitable zone of its star, where conditions might be just right for water-and potentially life-to exist, Kepler 22-b presents a fascinating possibility for humanity's future in the cosmos. This video delves into the characteristics that make Kepler 22-b an intriguing candidate for Earth's twin, exploring its size, orbit, and the prospects of it being habitable. Join us as we unpack the scientific discoveries surrounding this distant world and ponder the question: Could Kepler 22-b become our new home among the stars?

We went from horse and oil lantern to high speed trains and internet and solar panels in 200 years. Anything is possible if we have time.

People in Kepler 22 B : I see a Blue planet and it could harbor life but would take 600 light years to get there

640 light years from the earth by the way. And if you're travelling 17km/s it would take you 11.3 million years from earth to reach this planet. 11 300 000 / 73 "human life expectancy" = 155000 human life expectancys. Meaning if we don't find a way to travel faster it will take alot longer to rehabilitate if we have to move planet to planet. We have to launch a human embryo today to this planet!! 2024 + 155000 = year 157 024 is the new meta year to live :P

You highlighted the numbers and aspects that most people don’t take into consideration when thinking about spacing and travel.

My comment is not so funny to read once you get the hang of it and understands that we are screwed. But feel free to speculate and to dream. That is what makes inventions possible. Crasy dreams and thoughts like how can i make a spacecraft fly at the speed of light. Can i use magnets to be able to repell forward. For how long can a human embryo live in space for and so on.. Be curious, dream, be open minded :)

Search for life = New creatures to enslave and consume. Better to remain here than unleash the horror, that is the Human Being, on the rest of the Universe.

I can only assume that it's the same on exo planets. It's not just humans, animals do it too. There's always an apex predator.

Oh, please. Even if we could, all we'd do is trash it just like we've done to Earth.
