I'm playing KCD1 at the moment, started last week. It's really not my kind of game usually, but I love this one so much, it's so immersive despite how clunky some things are. There is a harmony in everything in the game, graphics, themes, music, gameplay, story... that you usually only see in very small indie teams. You can tell everybody in the dev team was on the same vibes. If the 2 is the same but better, it's going to be fantastic!

@italianspartacus Biggest question that NO ONE has touched on that i think was a key part of the original - does fast travel still work the same? the original didn't do instant TP instead you travel'd in an accelerated fashion from point A to B BUT you could trigger events on the way that you could chose to engage or avoid ... this makes fast travel alot more dynamic and interesting as to whether you risk it or not - is this in tact because it's interesting not one single reviewer has mentioned this everyone is focused on saying the combat is better. Thanks in advance, been a viewer as a result of your TW Warhammer coverage but your "made me a believer" video made me a believer too as like you i didn't care that much for the first game.
@italianspartacus5 күн бұрын
Yup! Exactly like it with the chance to trigger events and a chance to evade or bypass them depending on how they are :)

I'm excited to play. Bought with your fanatical code. I think what will hinder votes/reviews for this game is it's slow mandatory story/movie railroad. (I'm only 2 hours) I think to solve the game for faster pace people who want to jump in the open world simulator, they should have a main menu option to quick start game skipping the prologue. (Also for replayability).
@kylemiller5185 күн бұрын
5:53 can't say for sure without my hands on it, but assuming it's the same as KCD1 - it's not saying this is the most optimal direction to swing next, it's a potential next step in a combo you learned. If you actually land a hit that can be the start of a combo, it's a reminder that this is the next direction for that combo. You don't see it on blocked or dodged hits, and you don't see it until you've spent points on learning that combo, so that also makes sense as to why you didn't notice it for a while
@italianspartacus5 күн бұрын
It's on blocks/parries as well! As a follow up at least
@kylemiller5185 күн бұрын
@italianspartacus interesting If you mean them blocking, perhaps they changed it so as long as you don't get interrupted you can finish the combo (or maybe I'm misremembering that's how that worked), if you mean when you block/parry then are there new combos that have that as a start point? Or maybe they just did change what the indicator is
@italianspartacus5 күн бұрын
After filming my combat guide I've found that it prioritizes combos and if you go to do a parry the indicator is which of the combo openers is the best based off of their sword placement

"Play the game how you want" - this is so true. After hearing so many things about this game, im really intrigued to play it. Didnt had much fun with the first one, because the combat was so hard and it didnt catch me. At the same time, i wanted to like this franchise, because its probably the first one, making a For Honor Style combat in a singleplayer game and i loved For Honors combat. But after seeing that you can smith your own weapons and they changed the combat to make it a bit easier, KCD2 got my intrest. Really hoping for a Skyrim realistic medival expierence with this one. At the same time, im only a few hours into Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlords, and thinking if i should wait with KCD2 and put a little bit more of my time into Bannerlords first.

You know, I think you hit the nail on the head with Modern day RPG’s/gaming. They have a tendency to become boring because the “best” is readily available to see. Armor, build, quest outcome, etc. before you know it, you’re not playing your game anymore. Perhaps apart of it is getting older and not having as much time either. I love this channel because the videos never really feel like a “review,” rather than your bro just telling you about a game he’s been playing lately. This is the one that’s going to make me buy kcd2 and I haven’t played the first either. A good reminder to also just enjoy the ride of your decisions and not look up anything.

First of all great video dude i'm definitely intrigued about the game. I really wanted to love KCD1 but the fetch quest-y nature of the main quest really felt like a chore to me. Like go talk to this person on the other end of the map, report back to this guy on that end of the map. What i wanna know is does the sequel have the same kind of main quest structure? This is pretty much the only that's keeping me from getting the game and no-one has addressed this really.
@italianspartacus3 күн бұрын
There are fetch-y quests but the main story quest is more focused. Sure they do send you on errands because that's the very nature of quests but it's more of a narrative thread. There's less cross map back and forth to simply hand letters over which is annoying. It's more.... Go to that location and find out the mystery of the hermit

Great review. But I have to disagree on their combat system and think it's pretty awful, mainly because of the tab targeting.. The fact that it is tab targeting just kills it for me. It breaks the emersion of the game especially when you're up against multiple opponents, they just come at you one at a time and take turns. One streamer I was watching was going on a rant about this and I agree. Like, were in 2025, why is tab targeting a thing, especially in a single player RPG. Other than that, the rest of your thoughts/review are on point.

Well, I can't say until later but just judging by KCDI, Bethesda could learn alot from Warhorse.

I think most of these legacy AAA studios could learn something from the new ones

@@italianspartacus Agreed. Some of the best games I've played in the past decade have come from smaller studios.

Hmm i played about 40 hours of the first one ans the quests just sending to from city to city or area to area felt super tedious to me. Just pulled me out and i fell off. How do you feel about the questing?
@italianspartacus5 күн бұрын
Wayyy better this time around. Kind of like doing quests in Witcher 3

Very strange question, but for immersion and roleplay purposes, if I want to wear a helmet the entire game including within cutscenes is that possible?
@italianspartacus5 күн бұрын
Yup! My character does!

Look into Soulash 2. I think you'll like what Artur's cooking up.

KCD2 falls into the shelf where GOW Ragnarok and the Arkham series lay. You know it’s good before it comes out. Not many earn that.

Ragnarok was pretty lame

What happens if you steal clothes and wear them? Can you dye them, so the original owner doesn't know? Also, what kind of HDR support is there? And is there an in-game benchmark?
@italianspartacus5 күн бұрын
Nay! They'll know but you just wait a little and the stolen tag falls off

Loved the first one (but only after my 3rd time giving it a try) Thanks for the video and the style you use to present information. My hype is up to 11 now, so i grabbed that preorder here to support you!

My issue with the first one was that it started off too slow and that quests could time out if you didn’t get to them in time. For a casual player and parent who just doesn’t have hours to pour into games, it was pretty frustrating.

It's too bad I can't play this. First person perspective gives me serious vertigo issues. It's nice to see a good game coming out, but sad since I can't experience it.

Hey do you have a pre-order code/link for ps5 or only for steam? Will probably pick this up so you may as well get a little kickback! Only have a console though....

Linked at the top of the description and pinned comment brother! Thank you so much!! Oh shit I just re read this... Ugh unfortunately not for PS5 unless they added it to Fanatical

Say goodbye to those combat reticle and player status visual aides when you play hardcore. 😂 You'll even loose your present indicator at map.
