Is Kirby and the Forgotten Land Overhyped?

I finally played through this game to figure out if everyone's been hyping it up for no reason. I analyzed this game to see if that's true.

The game was really refreshing for me as a long time kirby fan and it even made me cry but it not having menus for the subgames was just super odd to me

Personally I loved this game! But, return to dreamland is better IMO. I loved all the powers, the boses, and how it was different than most kirby games but was still cute and fun.

I still have yet to play return to dreamland deluxe but it looks good

Honestly I just never cared for Kirby Games since they went 3d. It was far more fast paced and precise in your moves when it was a 2d side scroller. Even to this day most 3d games struggle when it comes to combat, usually relying on some kind of lock on function to make it so you can hit anything.

I didn't really find a problem with that it could just be cuz I'm used to 3D games since I grew up with them but I do agree with the combat being more complicated than 2d games. I think the 3d combat is pretty good but I do agree that the 2d games were better even though I've only played three (Star Allies Planet Robobot Triple Deluxe)

@@PokeBro60 I grew up just as 3d games started to come around, so there is some bias at how bad early 3d games were I am sure. But the problem is most 3d games have fairly bad AI that is easily tricked due to the limitations. Platforming is by far the more simple thing with 3d.

There’s definitely a difficulty to then in some cases, but I think this game does it fairly well, it’s mostly from above, which makes it easier to see where things are on the map, and typically the camera angle doesn’t change until you get to a new area. But I can see your point.
