Can we acknowledge that most of her influence came from her being oversexualized as a underage teen?? Her relationship with Tyga, her plastic surgery all of this was about sexualizing a teenager. That’s an issue we have in society
@JuliaBoateng

that part! I wish I went more in depth when acknowledging her exploitation, but Kylie was a minor for the majority of her career thus far, and everyone treated her as if she was in her 20s. Her parents didn't care about her nor protect her enough. All Kris saw were dollar signs. As much as I can't stand Kylie and her family, I do feel bad for her in the sense that she was a child that was never protected.

I genuenly think that kylie (or the kardashians in general) don‘t understand that their followers are real people with real lifes and real struggles. I think They don‘t understand that posting their wealth in the pandemic is devastating for people. They dont understand that the last two years were hell on earth for Most people and everything is just kinda getting better now. I think They don‘t understand that real lifes were lost at astro world. They might read those articles but don’t understand how real this is because They basically grew up with followers so people Are just Numbers for them. Also Kylie talking about not wanting to be famous is funny to me because I don‘t think she could manage even one day. They don‘t understand that They can do or buy whatever they want. They don’t understand what it feels like to hussle just to get the gas bills payed. They dont understand what headache it is to life from paycheck to paycheck. They dont understand how privileged they Are in this world. I might Sound like a big hater but I just think that they aren‘t Self reflected and don’t understand the „outside“ world and thats a big Problem with them. Im not jealous (bc I know their fans love that argument) of them because I know even if they weren‘t as wealthy or famous as they are, I would still be in the same position that I‘m in Right now. And I’m very proud of what I built for myself. Them being rich has nothing to do with me. And I fully understand that. 💖

I suspect that Kylie cosmetics was really conceived and pushed by ‘momager’ Kris and probably the pressure to be more like her sisters. I think behind the scenes Kris noticed Kylie’s growing influence and either coerced or forced her to her create this business. And now that Kylie is an adult shes probably not being pushed as much and the brand is dying because she’s not invested and it wasn’t really her dream to begin with. Could be wrong, but that’s just the vibe I get.
@JuliaBoateng
@JuliaBoateng 2 жыл бұрын
Oh I agree! I really think Kris was behind it all bc Kylie really doesn't seem to care for fame in the slightest- at least not in the way we think. Kris actually mentioned how she low-key didn’t think she was going to go anywhere so they only ordered 100,000 units and she made Kylie use it out of her own trust fund money basically. But I only think Kylie cosmetics did well because it was when everyone was obsessed with make up and Kylie only used to do big launches once or twice a year. After she started doing multiple lunches a year and they were so expensive people didn’t care and couldn’t afford them. Also they all had gimmicks or themes and people aren’t into that anymore people just want beige nude colors

My gosh...Kylie was so different in 2015. She was funny, quirky and experimenting with her style. I loved her blue hair back then...but now maybe because she has matured, she basically has no personality. Or at least she doesn't show it often because she is afraid of people critizing her It's horrible how her family didn't protect her and the way they allowed GROWN MEN to prey on her. I remember when Kanye was asked about Tyga and Kylie he said : "Props to him for coming early" WTF and then people critize Kylie for "stealing" Tyga...he was an adult and she was 17 🤡

Does Kylie have anything she is passionate about? To me, it seems like she is constantly promoting her beauty line but she doesn’t seem to have any real passion at that. It’s seems like a commercial every-time I see her. She’s good with her daughter but most good mothers are supposed to be so that doesn’t particularly interest me. What does she even like? She doesn’t cook, I’m sure her kids have Nannie’s and tutors so she doesn’t do that… what does she do

When you spoke about Fenty Beauty, that made me think about the lack of complexation products Kylie Cosmetics has. Rihanna understood the assignment two-fold: 1) the need for true diversity and inclusion in beauty brands and 2) the importance of complexation products in makeup brands. Let's be real... most people come to makeup because of SKIN problems. Not because they want purple sparkly lids. Rihanna dropped a foundation FIRST. Which, I'm no expert, but I'm sure the production of a liquid foundation is WAAAAAY different than highlighters, lip gloss, and eyeshadow. Kylie has done... A concealer, and maybe A powder foundation if I'm remembering correctly? Just a thought lol. EDIT: Coming back to add another point... I understand Kylie's influence is/was surrounded by her LIPS. So lip kits were the way to go. But once she decided to become Kylie Cosmetics and not LipKit by Kylie... ???... it's confusing... why can't I buy a full face of QUALITY makeup from one brand. I'm not up Rihanna's ass... though I absolutely ADORE her... I can literally do my makeup routine from start to finish with ALL Fenty Beauty AND be satisfied with the quality. Kylie Cosmetics? Can't say. But there was ONE blush that I loved and the liquid lipsticks are very comfortable.
