No lo promociones, menos a los gringos, 😅😅😅😅 ni siquiera te contestó el mensaje….#gentrificación

Thank you for the warm invitation. That’s what my gringo wife and myself appreciate about Mexican people. If we were to relocate to La Paz we would make sure to blend in, learn the language and support local businesses as much as possible and return the kindness. #Gentrification? Hopefully not. That’s what we are escaping in America. Sshhh - we’ll never tell 🎉

Ahhhhh, it's so beautiful there! Presales are definitely one of the best options for buying property.

It was really informative & interesting to hear Claudia talk about the presale process/potential savings!
@JosephHurtsellers3 ай бұрын
I've had a HORRIBLE presale experience... I would be happy to explain it in detail if anyone is curious. We bought in the PV area, used a an attorney, and bought through Coldwell Bankers Lacoste. It's beyond description how crooked (possibly unintentionally) these people can be. What we love about Mexicco is the freedom and lack of authoritarianism, but this cuts BOTH ways. With no rules being constantly enforced, the only thing that matters is the integrity (word) of the people you do business with. The big companies do not know the people they are selling for. Most Mexicans do business with other Mexicans based on trust and relationship... But if a Mexican wrecks their reputation with people in their community, then the first thing they will do is to turn to big name real estate agencies who don't know much about them. So in essence you greatly increase your chances of being robbed by using Coldwell or Century 21. Get on the ground. Meet people. Become friends.

@@JosephHurtsellers you're right, being an informed buyer is always very important.
@JosephHurtsellers3 ай бұрын
@@mdrichards yes, but many think they ARE doing their due diligence, but when the "professional " misleads, it is a travesty. We were told that our developer had built many projects in PV. Our agent even pointed out the actual buildings they had built. Turned out they had NEVER developed a single property... To make a long story short, we ended up in a prosecutor's office in the jungle paying Mexican prosecutors, Mexican translators, and Mexican attorneys in order to get our deed.... the crooked developers had the actually committed a crime that could have resulted in prison. They took our money and then placed a loan against our unit..! My advice, you either know the people personally, or NEVER buy pre-construction in Mexico. It is not a question of doing your research, because the people claiming to be advising you can lie.

Thanks Alex for another great video, We love La Paz. Snorkeling and swimming with the sea lions (Lobos) is a must do activity. You definitely need to rent a car to get the most out of Baja California Sur. We rent our vehicles from Cactus I've never rented from Avis. Is Avis a better value than Cactus?
@alex-wittman3 ай бұрын
I’ve heard good things about Cactus. It’s family-owned, correct? Avis was fine, but the check-in process took forever even though we had a reservation.

Would like to visit La Paz once to see it and maybe scuba dive in the Sea of Cortez, but not at all interested in living with a bunch of Expats and paying those prices......But Alex thanks very much for the Video. I think it showed a realistic example of what to expect. Give me Guadalajara anyday!!!! lol

Hi Alex I’ve been watching your channel for awhile and like your videos. One question? Why don’t other KZbin channels that makes videos not show people in water having fun there ?

Check the contamination levels of the beaches before going. Fecal matter levels are scary high. We've lived here for years and can't wait to escape.

Are they finding it over gentrified with gringos,,,can workers livebthere..
@cadillacslick3 ай бұрын
La Paz should be a similar climate to San Diego/Ensenada region, perhaps a little hotter during the summer months = but way better than the heat/humidity present in the jungle region like Merida and Playa del Carmen! I hate lines, if you do dislike lines/traffic too = do not move to Tulum! Overall, Mexico is getting more expensive - the Mexican Peso is UP a TON since COVID plus the Mexican Federal Funds rate is high, higher than the US in fact!!! The sad fact is that, overall, Mexico is getting more expensive for Americans on a fixed income like social security to be able to relocate .... spoke to realtor in Playa del Carman and retirees were looking for homes for like $100,000. - $150,000. and that price is unrealistic, because, on the cheaper end, you are looking at pre-sales in safe gated communities with rules going for $200,000 +.
