80% of land owned by less than 5% - crap. Go read the 2019 Land Ownership report produced by the HSRC (a Gov dept). At that time, it was claimed 73% of land was owned by whites. Yes - but that is 73% of commercial farming land, not the whole country. This land is about 30% of all land in SA, which makes that about 22% of the land is owned by white commercial farmers. These days, it is far less. How many have left the country, been murdered, or just gone out of business since 2019? Over 50% of the land is owned by the Government (black). The Transkei, Zululand, Old Bophuthatswana, Venda, and all those vast land areas are Government owned. That is huge. So when the claim of 80% owned by whites - use your own brain and think. These politicians are lying to the people. Do some research for yourself and see what is the truth.

I'm not South African and was just interested in land reform in different countries and got engrossed in what Mr Shivambu and others have been saying. Unfortunately it's disappointing. The intentions sound like things a suffering populace would want to hear, but there's nothing substantial other than the idea of land reform. You definitely need better land reform to stop abusive practices, but after hearing this "appropriation without compensation" expression so many times here and in other videos, it really just sounds like government-sponsored theft. It is true in S. Africa and other countries that the poor handling of land reform puts land back in the hands of the rich and powerful, but that is an abuse of a good idea, not evidence of a bad idea. You need to fix the laws, not change them to draconian ones that explicitly favor one group. As for being obsessed with importing, that's how you get cheap stuff. Producing and buying local will be good if you can make it economically interesting for local consumers now, not imagined consumers 1 or 2 generations in the future.

Who is the "President"? Only a sitting president of a country whether he/she served in the armed forces or not, can also be designated "Commander in Chief". Use of military designations is for role playing children's games and it's insulting to ALL veterans who served in combat. "Superior logic" is insulting to the concept of logic. I have experienced this racism myself were an Indian shop owner insulted me after I asked him what the price of a broom is (a broom which I was holding and wanted to buy )he than rudely told me to ask one of his workers ,I asked him why he was being impolite and then he pretended as if he was going to beat me.After he saw that I had zero fear of a thin tiny looking Indian man ,he stopped what he was doing.I told him not to speak to me like I am one of his slaves.He then called me a bastard.This happened at Thohoyandou whilst I was still a student there. So some Indians are racist -although I had some good Indian friends at highschool- I believe their parents must be racist. Don't be a racist .Join EFF and fight racism and inequality.

Your reply is based in identity politics and post modern deconstructionism. Roughly speaking, you chose to engage with who is making a statement rather than what is being stated. I am not a fan of identity politics either and my comments do not contain anything of this sort. My reply to you though will touch on it. Firstly, you assumed my race without any knowledge of my genetic background and immediately placed me in an arbitrarily defined racial box. You did not view me as a fellow South African with the right to freely criticise a political party. Secondly, how many more laws against unfair discrimination can we have? The problem is trying to police peoples thoughts (George Orwell, 1984). Even the best of men have prejudices and biases lurking in their subconscious. This could be based on any number of identities ... ethnicity, gender, religious belief, sexual orientation etc. Despite this, in polite society we treat each other with due respect, honesty and fairly. That is an inner battle which can be openly discussed without political rhetoric. Shouting "racism" from a podium to an army of your supporters is pure emotional propaganda straight out of the Mein Kampf chapter on propaganda (read it) and we know where that leads. The truth of the statement becomes irrelevant. The exact same concern could have been raised and engaged with in many more meaningful ways and platforms that could have actually been helpful. Finally, your experience is one that many have had (including myself). Some people are just disagreeable, obnoxious individuals ... especially surprising how often this happens in the sales and service industry where they should be wooing you for money. I cannot comment on your personal feelings at that time but I would certainly not have bought that broom. So, hate is a strong word but to summarise I am not a fan of the EFF ... their policies are the very opposite of economic freedom, constantly playing identity politics, use of emotional propaganda, ideology of a totalitarian state (slippery slope there) etc. The world has seen this before and it is not good.

First ,all the assertions you are making of not recognising you as a South African and not respecting your right to support a political party of your choice is not true. In our country "Naidoo's" are mostly South Africans of Indians ,Pakistani origin and to assume that your are indians, judging by your surname , is an indication that I know my people and nothing more. The current economic disparities in South Africa are being exacerbated by the economic policies of this current government.Our economy was designed to benefit white people and to exclude black people who suffered and still suffering the most. So they is no way I can continue to support something which is not working - we need a fresh of breath air and that is the radical and superior policies of the EFF. We need radical economic policies in order to bring about a radical change to the social welfare of people on South Africa in particular African black people. White people and Indian people shamelessly own more land than black South Africans put together - that's is non-sense. Indians and coloured own small percentages and that is ok and no one is talking about taking that land- it's only nonsense that you own more than black people who are supposed to be owning 70 to 80 percent of all thank land I'm South Africa. Most people who complain about the EFF are those few who are privileged and therefor do not want anything to change in South Afric. If ANC does not adopt some EFF policies they could be a civil war in the near future and then you will experience what a disaster is.
