Larry is the better trash talker and I'll tell you why. On more than one occasion, Mike has said - publicly that he learned how to trash talk in the most effective ways. He openly credits Bird with "teaching" him his trash talking. 😀👍 Larry invented a bunch about what's in and around the game. Like the "Step back Jumpsuit" and the like. You should watch his Ultimate Mixed-tape too. It is a great layout of some truly EPIC moments from his career, including "Bird's Great Steal" or is it "The Great Seal." One or the other. The 1992 Dream Team documentary is awesome. Many have broken it up to 3 or 4 videos. Not necessary. It is so awesome no one will think it’s too long. The few who made the whole video, were awed at how good it was. 11 future Hall of Famers. WOW! Everyone was glued to their TVs whenever they played. Beautiful basketball like you’ve never seen. I still watch almost everyday and still get chills 🤙🏽

Larry Bird was the best at trash talker Ever! He demoralized players by calling his plays and there wasn't anything they could do about it. He took away players confidence. While everyone else was slam dunking Larry was busting 3's on them. Just how hard is it to slam dunk a ball when your standing in the paint?

Is telling the opponent the entire play and then doing it, really trash? We need another term or word to fulfil that descriptive. He used juke-shooting, step backs, rainbow floaters....and the backboards, both hands... And he would tell you which way, where and how? If I hadn't been at a few of those games, I'd be calling bullshit... To say his intent wasn't driven by desire...only fools tread. Larry Joe Bird was a phenomenon. He was injured from day one in the league.. Most, would have hung up their hats after the surgery.. I used to get so pissed at him, he was always diving, jumping reaching for the ball and getting hurt.... But then he'd bring his limping wobbling ass right back on the court and shoot for 20... He was humble, it was his problem...his back, his double Achilles operations. would have ended anyone's career.... His desire to play was unrelenting, and his skill was undeniable.

This video definitely has some of the good ones, but not all of them. Larry got into a lot of fist fights as a result of his trash talk (both on and off the court) and there are some short clips of larry throwin hands out there haha. I'm a firm believer that larry isn't/wasn't a bad guy, though. Talking trash is just part of the competition to him, I think. Only person he probably actually hates is Laimbeer, but he's got a lot of company there. Nobody likes that MF

This video doesn't even scratch the surface of Bird's trash talking. There are dozens of videos out there of his former opponents telling Bird trash talk stories. EVERYBODY who faced him has stories LOL. And most of them are funny. Jordan has said that Larry taught him everything about how to get into people's heads. So, who's the better talker? Jordan is great, but nobody tops Larry. Those other great talkers you mentioned? They all give props to Larry. Gary Payton calls him the coldest ever, as a talker and as an opponent.

Jordan isn't in Birds class and nobody has ever trashed talked like Bird telling the other the play and the spot where he would shoot and do it plus all the other average players including Jordan waited to after they made their shot before trash taking

Jordan himself said Bird taught him how to trash talk. He looked goofy asf but he may be the most savage player to ever do it. Book by its cover and all that.
