I definitely find Assassins + Liars is the best after trying out every combination. It allows you to run threaded specter which helps draw aggro off teammates + deal damage, and you get to run an extra fragment. I never found myself missing the ignitions at all. Any enemy killed by it is one less orb for the teamates and 9 times out of 10 it doesnt hit anything anyways in low density content

Agree. Especially in higher tier content the infinite spectre will provide a little survivability. The threadings do good damage and will make up partially for the ignition damage + can run across the floor to find enemies if none are nearby.

Love this build. I farmed the exotic class cloak for a very long time in the Landing, so I have a lot of the good drops now. My favorite are Spirit of Caliban and Liars. Spirit of Caliban and Synthoceps (use with threaded spike, it's insane.) Spirit of Inmost Light and Cyrtarachnae (also absolutely insane because you're constantly on woven mail, especially if you use gunpowder gamble.) Spirit of Inmost light and Synthoceps (constant nuclear bombs from Grapple Melee)

@Popoki777 i literally can't take the item off. It's worse than my punchy builds with cyrtarachne/caliban assassin/syntho or just regular liars. There's no build that's as fun or efficient to me. I'm tryna work ergo sum into it at this point, but outbreak perfected is glued to my hand.

I’ve found that calibans hurts sometimes. Killing the red bard with the ignition can make it annoying to stack up combinations blow to be able to kill higher health targets. Some activities this isn’t a problem but some it is

I don't have the class items, but I use mothkeepers wraps and it is good. I use stylish and gunpowder for the aspects. Fragments are bravery, balance, dominance, mending, and ruin. Arc grenade, strand melee, and stasis super. mods are a grenade kickstart setup.

In my experience no its not. Combination blow plus facet of courage and à 1 2 punch shotgun already kills everything but bosses easily. The extra damage fron lairs is a waste......go with literally anything else.....Cytarachnes star eaters best choices but literally anything else wilm be more useful than lairs. As for calibans its great paired with ones like synoceps Cytarachnes verity etc. But best pairing for a Combination blow build is HOIL. To ne best Combination blow exotic items pairing is HOIL and Cytarachnes.

@@Popoki777 ny point is that you dont need lairs to kill everything, and I just dont see wasting an exotic item slot just so I dont run à shotgun. I dont see how you can pretend thats à good tradeoff. Just not havibg to run à 1 2 punch shotgun is worth nore survivability fron constant wolven mail or 75% more super damage......you do you but it is not even close to a wise tradeoff to me. Also lairs combination blow build is extremely difficult to use in harder content bith because team members will kill yoyr kills ruining your buffs and even getting it going in hard content is very difficult impossible for most players as you have no réal damage protection until you start chaining kills. Calibans honestly makes it harder by killing enemies you need to kill to get combination blow reved up and sustained. HOIL Cytarachnes is a way better build you have plenty of power to kill anything and infinite abilities which when combined with Cytarachnes gived you infinite wolven mail which makes survival in harder content so nuch esier and allow you to rénover very easily if your kills are stolen......sorry nan Calibans lairs is just not the best combination blow build to use .

@@Popoki777 I never said you couldn't I said most people cant, most people can not complete hard content with this build the loop is to hard to start and keep going. Just because people who play this gane as a job can solo à GM with thiw build doesn't mean it actually à great build. Skilled players can solo GMs with blue gear big whoop, but as I said most players try to complete à GM with this build wont be able to do it. As for the celestial swap? On my experience it sucks. You losse your abilities and for nostalgie players, especially console, you waste so nucléaire time swapping you have a lackluster damage phase. Also star eaters golden gun actually does nore total damage and the time you would save fron the quick shot will be wasted swapping loadouts.....plus you cant swap gear in GMs or master content anyway, if your in a raid situation where you can rally then swap your better off using celestial still hunt.....sorry buddy your build is just not the best use if combination blow but if you prefer it thats fine. Lairs is just not needed for combination blow nothing it offers is vetter than the other possibilities as I just listed.

@@Beast-mf7bryea but liars handshake in general is a little bit more rough with a team it’s harder to keep the loop going because you and your team are already melting everything renewal or Inmost light + cyratrachne is the way to go for solo and team it’s good in a lot of stuff liars is pretty situational but when the situation is right it slaps

Renewal/liar is good for harder solo content, but liar's in team content is pretty bad since it's hard to keep all your stacks up with your teamates slaying out on everything. Inmost/cyrtarachne is goated in basically all areas of play

Yup this is an S tier take. My argument to anyone running caliban for liars handshake is that you want the caliban ignitions for AOE. This means there is a group of at least 2 enemies to justify using the ignition to kill surrounding ads. But since you are most likely running winters shroud as well, if you just freeze one enemy in a group of ads then kill it, the shatter damage most of the time just kills everything around it. Thus just use duskfield for the better defensive capabilities with renewal

@@Popoki777 when I say "got" is that u have the posibility to have darkness energy from some source in which you said that it was a disadvantage of your build. And when I say "please watch your fragments" was to recommend u to actually read pthe avaliable fragments to do a build. Btw counterpunch is just too overvalored people should try a actual op build (ej: consecration titan). Titan actually has the same disadvantage (bad survivability if no melee is done). But titan has a more consistent prismatic build to produce both light and dark energy and super energy (about 20s for prismatic and less than a minute a ult). And titan does a lot more damage with synthos than counterpunch (and also titan can do more consistent damage to bosses on high difficulty gm nf). Personally people that are saying titan are the worst subclass is because the don'tknow how to play it. I just came back to destiny like 4 or 5 months ago and I've done the disgraced gm in 7:20 and consistently an average of 8:30 (all in a lfg random fireteam). Btw never seen a counterpuch hunter in ANY gms, and don't tell me that it does work because is not made for it, hunter counterpuch is playable on gms and stills one-shot Champs with one two punch. BUT titans are just better on that works from time based and from survability. Conclusion: hunters are just too overvalored (at least for hight difficulty modes like gms or other activities that doest require the amazing-super dificult damage fase rotations... joking)
