@MikePhillips-pl6ov2 күн бұрын
I know many people voting for Reform who are younger and know nothing or virtually nothing of Empire. That's a bit of a cliché or stereotype. There are a number of reasons but it's primarily migration (which is a huge issue, no matter how much those on the left deny it); distrust and discontent with other parties; other party leaders not answering questions whereas Farage does (whether people agree with his policies or not); and wanting genuine change (whether Farage and Reform can deliver that or not, and they say they are aiming for the 2029 general election)

Definitely FPT. Democracy works best on a small scale in terms of 'localism'. But it is better to the preferred option of neoliberal capitalists which is authoritarian governments operating at the behest of multinational corporations and with all services being privatised, including the police but, possibly, excepting the armed forces. The right of the Tory party believe in the neoliberal economic ideology, so do those at the head of Reform who look to Trump to set the moral tone! All the best.

Well what to do? Labour are getting in anyway, so do you advise to vote for the Tories? I'm torn between Labour and Reform personally because my singular strategy is to OBLITERATE the Tories at this opportunity. They sit in the way of an actual right wing party (which will come, by the way). I might vote labour with the intention of accelerationism, to hasten the far right takeover that I hope for.

I'd say, living in London as I do and knowing a number of East Europeans, she's very typical. They especially mind about people of colour and as they themselves aren't they take it to mean they aren't real immigrants at all. The interesting thing is a native Brit may think similarly about people of colour but would have the awareness not to talk like that.
