Those at the very bottom and at the very top either don't have a choice or their highly paid accountant will proactively send checks to HMRC to avoid any reputational issues. The mid level millionaires are the worst as they feel they've "earned it" are "self made" and will try their hardest to misrepresent what they owe. That or they will use an accountant that understands their client is a long way away from the money is no object stage and really wants another Porsche instead of paying tax to fund a school. Millionaires don't pay tax (at least at the levels they should be). Multi-multimillionaires and Billionaires don't care as they can afford everything *and* pay tax. Source - Tax compliance officer.

I think one of the reasons why she's so delusional was the fact she is somewhat vindicated (at least in her own mind) by Rishi Sunak's dismal performance as Prime Miniature who ended up adopting Truss's economic policy on unfunded tax cuts a few months before the General Election. I also find it amusing that she brought up fracking because the ban on fracking vote seemed to be the final nail in her tenure as Prime Minister.
