After this episode, I have gone back and watched the first episode of season 1… and the scene where hulk knocks Tony’s case out of his hands tossing the tesseract towards Loki… notice the case lands out of frame for us… could it be that variant loki is off screen and uses his magic to pop the case open tossing the tesseract towards bound loki… starting the entire mess? Or, does sylvie take over Tony, causing him to head “to grab a slice” putting him in harms way to get the case knocked out?

When Loki first came to the TVA there was another guy in line who got pruned. So the TVA wasn't all about Loki. But why only Lokis at the end of time place?

The episode title is 'Science/Fiction'. The TVA is the 'Science' aspect while Loki is the 'Fiction' aspect. Two sides of the same coin. The timelines are the stories. You prune a timeline you erase the stories from that timeline. He Who Remains only want the stories from his 'sacred' timeline. Loki, on the other hand, is in a journey of rewriting his stories. Loki was meant to be a villain who always lose but now he wants stories/timelines where that is not the case. He wants stories where is not the villain, where he has friends, and now he seems to have gained the power to rewrite stories. Loki's becoming the God of Stories.

Very interesting theories. I absolutely LOVE Tom Hiddleston, particularly how he has managed to take this character and portray such nuance and character growth, while still at times reverting suddenly to the old 'I'm only interested in what I want and will do anything to get it" narcissim. He has been so integral to the MCU success. But...I don't know as I want him to take on the mantle of 'main villain' again, even if it means there will be another version (or other versions) of him fighting against that villain. Both for the fact that I don't want to chance it all turning 'stale' and also because I want Tom to be able to find other characters and opportunities to challenge himself with. (Though, that being said, I guess I couldn't blame him if he made the choice of continuing to commit himself to the MCU movies in order to give himself the financial freedom to engage in whatever stage or independent films he wishes to pursue to stretch himself artistically). But I think that he would only agree to go back to 'villain' role if there is a spectacular script to justify it. I still give him props for appearing for all the pre-release publicity for 'Infinity Wars' where the speculation was running wild that Loki would turn out to be willing to fight alongside the avengers, and never once letting on that his character, who we and he had both come to love, would be killed off in the opening moments.

They needed the tempotal aura of a Kang to unlock the computer so they could raise the blast shield and access the loom. His aura wasn't needed for the expander though Victor did help OB finish it by providing the stabilizer he had built after receiving the TVA handbook.

Remember that when Ouroboros needed He Who Remains to sign back into the TVA system and no one else could? If Loki is He Who Remains, then he could have signed in. But he didn't. That's why I don't think Loki is He Who Remains.

Excellent observations. I certainly like your theory that a variant of Loki (like Sylvie) is controlling the TVA. I also wonder if O.B. is a Loki or Kang variant. Irrespective of the final outcome, I doubt things will end well for the Loki variant we have been following for the past two seasons.

No OB doesn’t look like Kang at all. He’s most likely a Loki, a mortal form of Jörmungandr. Ouroboros is the shape they call Jörmungandr, Lokis son, and the God of Rebirth. & Immortality. The Ouroboros shape of Jörmungandr represents eternal life. He’s represented in the show as the timeline that loops. And OB is the person that manages that loop. He’s Jörmungandr in another form that manages his Ouroboros shape as the timeline.

I’m trying to remember where/when Sylvie whipped peoples memories. She enchants them- looks into their minds and makes them see things in such a way that they do her bidding- but not erase their entire memories. It was Miss Minutes/HWR/Renslayer that used the tactic of erasure to render enemies harmless. Not Sylvie.

That was a really good analysis/review. First time finding your channel. As you were going through your Siri, there were a couple of things that I kept repeating in my head. How come I never noticed that and this could be a way to replace Jonathan Majors/Kang if necessary. There’s a few problems with the way that Kang has been depicted in the MCU. There’s only supposed to be a few of them left after the Multiverse of war. But in Ant-man quanta mania, not only is the major threat someone who can get beat up by a teenage girl, but the council king seem to be in the tens of thousands. There were so many of them that they needed a football stadium, and they didn’t seem to be warring. They seem to be getting along just fine. Also, is Tom Hiddleston, and the writers of this TV show attempting to replace Doctor Who? Is this some sort of homage?

He who remains is a moniker not an actual person. From the multiverse's point of view every event in the TVA is occurring simultaneously. In the TVA there is no past or future, just a series of now's, moments. Loki and Sylvie are outside of time because they were transported from the Citadel. (Also explains why the Kang variant never left the Citadel. He couldn't control his time slipping.) They are essentially timeless and can travel across the multiverse at will from the beginning to the end and back again. Renslayer also transported from the Citadel which means she should also be able to slip.

6:45 well this can be explained because victor got spaghettified before the loom exploded. I think by then, he was erased from all existence, sort of like what ob told mobius would happen if he was caught outside for too long, therefore not needing the aura at that point since he was way gone. Also, another reason could be that they are wrong and didnt need the temporal auras at all. They didnt even scan them and probably they didnt want to risk bringing another kang variant into the story

No, he isn't HE WHO REMAINS or the one who created the TVA. Those facts have already been established. His time slipping happens because he unlocks a new ability he never knew he had. Once he learns how to control this newly found power, he will become THE GOD OF STORIES from the comic book series. Sylvie remembers everything only because she has Kang's master tempad.

Sylvie has Kangs temp pad. There will be some kind of reveal with that in this last episode. Sylvie sent loki back in time to the TVA with that temp pad after killing Kang. Kang winked at sylvie right before she killed him. Nobody is nentioning that maybe Sylvie as a loki is She Who Remains ...

At the end of Loki season 2 episode 5. we see that Loki can control his time slipping abilities. But this power will give him greater power as a god. So going forward to the season finale, the question is, did" he who remains "know that Loki could reach this power leve ( maybe become the Average Prime King 👑 Loki/The God of Stories) to control his time slippage ability and be able to travel back and forth in time? This Loki may become more powerful than "he who remains "and will end up being the person at the end of time to control the TVA. Will "He remains" has a backup plan to make sure that he is the one that's at the end of time and not the Loki's so that "he who remains "can remain in control of the TVA at the end of time?

I think the whole He Who Remain plan is so Loki can destroy all his variant thus fully replacing Him at the end of time and remove the possibilities of any Kang variant to start a multiversal war. This is avengers infinity war all over again, a one and only way to get to the destination. The path are already paved, just it need a main character.

Not possible. If he was, he would remember it all. His emery would not have been wiped out. Loki becoming the God of Stories is an obvious conclusion. But, if he is the God of Stories, he would remember everything from the past. OB on the other hand is mysterious and, still, an enigma. In 2/6, I hypothesize that OB is central to everything. In 2/5, he perked up with a comment, "So, I am the best-selling author" when Loki mentioned a book on every desk in TVA. He also told Loki in the same episode that it was like a character from his book which has now come to life. There is a deeper meaning to his conduct and comments. Also, we have not explored why OB's memory was not wiped out, and why he remembers everything and everyone. Loki goes into the past and communicates with OB. OB is a fiction writer and there is a script for everyone - not just WHR. Since his introduction, his behavior seems to be steering Loki and everyone.

The tva I think is at the end of time , probably not far from the citadel. It also seems when others spaghettify and he's so close to it, it never touches him. Loki isn't he who remains but he is taking on his powers somehow. Not just the master 10 pad, I think he who remains just wants him to take over. But the other kangs are prob not happy about that. So maybe his master plan is to convert loki into a Kang of sorts. To defeat them in the coming Multiversal war

Awesome Jacket! I don’t think Marvel is changing course at all I think this is always been the plan ! Kang the Conqueror is not the leader in this series the series is called Loki! I think people need to go back and read the comics! He’s a good character and will be used in further series as marvel introduces more time stuff. Like thanos. Thanos was important but he Avengers is still Avengers! I think people focus to much on him takes away from all the great acting and awesome story line in this segment.

From what we've learn til now ..... the original timeline ... had Loki build the TVA with OB .. using incomplete designs from Victor timely 1800's. Loki created living breathing Time Keepers .. and was the last to remaining life at the end of time. The Kangs & the Multiverse wars .. began when Loki & OB .. had to get Victor Timely to help fix a problem ... getting spaghettied ..... and created the multiverse ... with Kangs in the future so were able to complete the designs the Timely could in the 1800's. And an evil Kang .... discovered the TVA ... and killed Loki & the Time keeprs ... ended the Multiverse war killing off all the Kangs .. and focused on protected his timely. All the Kangs ... need Victor Timely to be spaghettificed .... so the new Sacred timely has timely & OB & Loki. But over time ... this evil Kang turned good .. and ever since has been trying to restore the original sacred timely ... where Loki & OB created the TV from Victor Timely's incomplete works. However the original Loki ... was left all alone ... and the end of Universe ... where this Loki variant does not want to be alone. This could be a problem.

Also some of his co workers spoke out about his behavior. plus the woman in this current court case also works for Marvel. plus Marvel not happy about Antman 3 loss of profits and rethinking Kang, hence the Dr Doom rumors. so making Loki he who remains can be to slowly move away from Majors. They already dropped one of Majors projects from Disney Plus. Disney is a business.

If he’s not guilty, then things will probably stay the same. If he is, they will simply recast him. Then being upset with Quantumania’s performance literally had nothing to do with Kang cuz critics and fans praised Major’s performance in the movie. And Loki being He Who Remains has literally nothing to do with them “moving away” from Kang and Majors. It is very much quite the opposite. Majors got dropped from stuff his Disney movie cuz it’s in the same time frame as his trial. Marvel is sticking with him cuz Kang isn’t supposed to appear to Kang Dynasty which is a while from now.

@@BrycenHartmann Yes she does work for Marvel. She worked on the set of Ant Man 3, As a body movement coach. That's how they met. Marvel insider mentioned this in the variety article, plus it was already known before that. They are the one's that said Ant Man 3 under performed and blamed Kang as part of the reason, then add his legal troubles on top of things and it spells disaster according to the article, not me. I guess people praising his performance didn't add up to the box office they wanted. It's business. This is why Doom is being discussed as a back up plan.
