Great reaction, Les - thank you!! I'm over 50 and I was familiar with The Clash's hits when I was younger, but now I love them so much more, having done some deeper dives into their music. They were so talented, experimental, and passionately political. I highly recommend The Magnificent Seven by them - funky with elements of hip hop - I think you'll really like it. 🙂

Yes an iconic sound from an amazing musical varied late 1979 album of the same name. I loved The Clash from their early days and this their third album was seen as a game changing masterpiece. Their powerful, all action live performances were also incredible and I saw them on this tour in my home city of Bristol in 1980. Still listening to them to this day .... Loved your reaction !

This is a classic, I have heard of the Clash, and maybe remember some songs, his voice sounds familiar. This is new to me as well but does have a great vibe to it 😄 I liked it. Punk Rock was massive and majority of the bands from what I remember are from England. Thank you, this was different, I enjoyed it ☺️👍💯

Their music is supposed to be a message to all those not paying attention that the threat of war was imminent, “London calling to the faraway towns/ Now war is declared and battle coming down.” But they were also keen to show that The Clash were not the answer as they sang, “London calling, now don’t look to us/ Phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust.” It was an attack on apathy too, “London calling and I don’t want to shout/ But while we were talking, I saw you nodding out.”
