It’s due to weather, you should use CeraVe or Cetaphil. They retain well in skin. Also, use warm water to shower not hot and avoid long showers. Additionally also use humidifier that measures the humidity level and uses cool mist in the apartment. I have experienced similar things many years ago when I moved to New York. Things are much better now. I hope it helps.

Few things I would recommend: 1. Use extra virgin pure coconut oil only from Kerala. You can get it online, choose a local brand. This is make your hail so soft that you won't need a conditioner. Regular coconut oil usually makes hair frizzy. 2. Use any kind of hair straightening or curling tools only once in a month and that too after spraying your hair with a heat protection spray. 3. Eat a more balanced diet with protein in all meals, home cooked food

I don’t think it’s the hard water that’s making you lose hair, it’s the amount of stress that you’ve been dealing with for the last year. Your adrenal glands (stress glands) must have consumed a lot of your B vitamins due to excessive stress and it’s leaving you deficient. This deficiency is making you lose the hair. Start consuming 2-3 tsps of Nutritional Yeast every day and you will notice a great improvement in just few weeks. Nutritional yeast is a natural source of B vitamins. give it a try, it will improve your mood and energy

Since everyone is speaking about the water - please don't drink tap water. Buy something like a Brita water filter and use it for water consumption. Of course, Canadian tap water is drinkable, but not in moderate to high quantities. It has a high content of lead in it in some places. Also for guys, tap water does contain estrogen in minute quantities - so if you are concerned about prostate cancer, lower testosterone, developing a belly due to insulin resistance, etc., don't drink directly from the tap. The same goes for non-grass fed cow milk...but that's off-topic :D

Pro tip if you don't want to invest in a humidifier. Keep a bucket of water in every room. The humidifier uses the same physics concept. We use this onboard ships when we're sailing in cold waters and the ship accomodation is internally heated which leads to dryness. P.s- I don't know why I'm commenting on this video because I don't live in Canada. Came across this video randomly and saw it. Glad I could pass on a life hack.😛
@aditishinde65712 жыл бұрын
That's a true hack. I do it.. my brother told me this hack who lives here for 10 years.. now keep a bucket looks weird ao what i do i keep large glass and metal fancy kind of bowls in corner of my house and put some artificial stones and flowers to it. It gives house decorative look and works as humidifiers too. And i keep changing and adding water to it

I was shrieking for your hair when you were combing your wet hair with a paddle brush 😧 Try detangling with a wide tooth comb (from ends to root) when applying conditioner before rinsing. With that and sleeping with a silk pillowcase...your hair will thank you!

Pooja do a video on how to get Indian dresses in Canada? And also how is social life in Canada for desis.
@nathanphillips16813 жыл бұрын
You can get them easily in major Canadian cities. Just google their address. Social life depends on what you mean - if you just want to hang out with other desis, its pretty great. There are tons of mixers and events (not during this time obviously). But if you want to get out of your comfort zone, then there are really good events which happen all over the city on a daily basis like live music, food tours, festivals, etc. Again these are all pre-covid...not sure how it's gonna be after covid. Personally, I got bored attending desi events after a year or two as they are basically the same and always attract the older generations (I am in my 20s) but might work well if you like them.

I ve lived in Mississauga and Vancouver and I tell you water quality differed soooo much between these cities. I experienced terrible hairfall in Ontario and it’s much better in Vancouver. Never knew about this softener! Thanks for the info very helpful 👍🏼
@JeremyMacDonald19733 жыл бұрын
Not really a quality of water thing so much as just different forms of water. Vancouver's Water is supplied by an aquifer while Toronto's Water comes from intake pipes at the bottom of Lake Ontario. Both are pretty natural sources of water - both get a certain amount of treatment. Lake water just happens to be generally significantly harder water then the Aquifer water of Vancouver. This is probably because the lake water is ancient. A surprisingly small percentage of the Great Lakes water either enters the Great Lakes or leaves it every year - that means that every unit of water in the Great Lakes has generally been circulating around the Lakes for hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of years (most of that circulating time would be in the upper Great Lakes, especially Lake Superior - not Lake Ontario) before it was sucked up and sent to your shower - this has given it a lot of time to absorb minerals making it a harder water.

Hi! You are definitely right about the hard water and dryness in Canada - glad you learned those. Moreover I also experienced dry hair and hair fall a lot after dyeing my hair (from a Toronto salon as well). Thankfully it’s been about 2 years since the dyeing and I’ve cut off all the coloured hair by now and it’s getting much healthier.. so you can look forward to that as well. And one last thing I wanted to mention is that hair fall is also strongly related to the internal condition of the body, mainly stress levels and diet. Since you moved here, maybe you’re not taking care of the proper nutrients in your diet and taking on extra stress, so keep those in mind as well 😊

But if u look back when you dyed ur hair it was darker and it would not have been to dry with splite ends. The sun salt water by the sea in Aruba would have damaged ur hair and made the colour aLot lighter and dry. U just need a trim and a good hair treatment. A new colour dye will help ur hair to.
