I’ve had and heavily used a Madewell bag for 6 years. It’s holding up well and the leather has only gotten softer and better with age. I conditioned it recently and it’s looking great!

I've been waiting for this breakdown!!! I have 2 Madewell bags. Though I've noticed some inconsistent stitching on one of the bags, the leather is so supple and just feels like it'll age super well. I'm so pleased that it's got your stamp of approval.

Madewell is the one company I almost never go in however when I do I am always surprised at the quality of goods. Last Christmas I found a wool knitted jumper that was lovely and was on sale marked down in clearance to $20 and I had a $15 off coupon so I spent $5 on it and it was cold so I just wore it out of the store! It is one of my favourite ever. I also have purchased a really elegant silver triple necklace for $28 and it has held up well to years of wear.

The piazza leather is beautiful and soft, however the same cannot be said for ALL of madewell's leather products, mainly their very popular transport tote line. The leather used for the transport tote has a heavy finish on it, giving it a plasticky feel, almost feels like PU leather, which I don't care for.

I just bought two madewell piazza crossbody’s and I noticed the leather looks, feels, and smells exactly like my coach 1941 shuffle in nappa lambskin (also made in India) so do India tanneries give the leather a certain scent or is the piazza also made of nappa lambskin?? I did not hear u mention this piazza is made of lambskin and nowhere on the madewell website does it say nappa/lambskin so im very curious now!!
