JazakAllah khayr. I am so glad you mentioned to importance of teaching our boys to lower their gaze. This is something I have taught my sons about from an early age and will discipline them for, though it is not easy to catch them taking a second glance.

I don't think just teaching is enough. To lower ur gaze u need a very strong iman( esp. for men) So mothers shd focus on both education and upbringing( ta'aleem and tarbiyat) and make their childrens strong in imaan. It's indeed responsibiyof men to lower gaze but it comes secondary and primary is for women to cover themselves properly. ( Both shd work simultaneously)

I use a magic baby, pink lipstick and powder over my face only which I wipe it off clearly whenever I need to make wudu.. I don't use other products at all.. in very rare cases I may use mascara and I follow the same procedure with it as well..I hope I'm doing it right.. And sisters I think it's better not to use things like concealers coz it harms your skin unknowingly.. the natural glow seems to fade away when you use so much chemicals on your skin..

Unless you're in an all-girls setting, muslim girls shouldn't enhance their beauty. Listen to the Quran and the sunnah sheikhs like what Dr. Zakir Naik said about this topic.

Wasallam, it's great that you're considering all these aspects! In mixed settings, it is important to ensure that makeup is not standing out and enticing to non-mahrams. As women, we ourselves know how subtle or flashy the makeup is, so it is important to ensure it does not go against our core Islamic teaching of modesty. Jazakallah!

@@Roosje_Stand_for_the_truthto further add, beauty isn’t haram, Allah created us beautiful. Makeup is simply a form of personal hygiene, like perfume and clean clothing. You can’t make these things impermissible. This makes life very difficult for women especially. And you can’t then make it permissible for men to wear perfume, or groom their beard, saying that “women aren’t affected” when the truth is they are! We also have other men affected, if we want to be absolutely real. So this stuff is all a waste of time and another form of control. It actually is the reason many people leave Islam, so perhaps now we need more than ever to focus on things aside from you’re a boy, I’m a girl and GROW UP! Back in the Prophet’s(sawa) days, women used to adorn themselves with henna. It’s okay to beautify yourself and it’s also okay for men to acknowledge that but with respectful limits and self control. Please let’s not let other religions laugh at us

*First of all what was the teaching method of mother Aisha(Ra) to teach men knowledge.* What were the customs; It needs to be explored. A thoruogh examination of Aisha's(Ra) biography clearly reveals that most of her hadiths were narrated through three narrators related to her. Urwah, Qasim and Amrah. [Tahjibut Tahjib; Ibn Hajar, 3/420] Urwah ibn Jubair was Aisha's nephew (son of Asma), Qasim bin Muhammad was Aisha's nephew (Muhammad bin Abu Bakr's son) and Amrah bint Abdur Rahman was Aisha's freed slave. That means the two men who narrated the largest number of hadiths from Aisha are essentially her family and her 'Mahram'. Searching for free mixing or free documents is completely futile and waste of time. It is also true that male students who were not 'Mahram' also acquired knowledge from Aisha (Ra). *But the question is, did they learn/teach hadith in a free mixing method like the so-called Muslim feminist shaykhs, men and women sitting face to face and side by side and presenting them in public?* Come on! Let us find the answer to that question from reliable primary sources of Islamic history. Only two Muhaddith quotes are presented here :- 1. Imam Ibn Hibban (d. 354 Hijri) in his book 'As-Siqat' (7/381) said about Ibn Abi Hatim Razi that *many scholars in Iraq and Hijaz heard hadith from Sayyidah Aisha (Ra). But they never got a chance to look at her.* Hadiths have also been narrated from many female Tabi'een in the same manner. 2. The famous Imam of Hadith, Hafiz Shamsuddin Zahabi (d. 748 AH) clearly mentioned in his book 'Siyaru A'lamin Nubala' (7/38), *we also learned Hadith from several female Muhaddith; Without seeing them. As many Tabi'een have heard the hadith from Aisha Radiyallahu Anha but they have never seen her form.* It is clear from this that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to teach non-Mahram men from behind the veil; not Face to face or side by side free mixing!

Such a beautiful and clear explanation. Sheikha, please ignore the comments of the know-it-alls who regard scholars based on their gender and length of the beard. You are equally and if not more qualified to handle this topic. May Allah reward you!

Length of beard? Do u think all lengths are fine and equal in the eyes of Allah?
@dalhaanu
@dalhaanu 29 күн бұрын
It's not about gender it's about islamic knowledge, and men can and have handled this topic, and they are qualified sheikhs. I'm going to say this again, according to the Quran and sunnah, enhancing your beauty is unnecessary and haram unless to an all girls setting, mahram like your father and grandfather, and other mahram.

Can i work as a make-up artist? I prefer light natural look to give ladies. Or selling halal make up??
@alimahinsights

Assalam o Alaikum, Yes you can work as a make up artist as long as your work location/salon is women only and there is no men in proximity in case the women don’t have hijab on etc. There is also nothing wrong with selling halal makeup. It is the consumer’s responsibility to use it within the teachings of Islam.
