And, these are the very reasons that we need you to continue vlogung and creating makeup and fashion tutorials! I think that the prices are so high that you have to make a choice between a loaf of bread or a new palette, the bread wins out. Also, we are SO over-saturated with all the new makeup that in reality pretty much looks alike.

Thank you for all you do for us. You inspire me to put on the makeup and get dressed for going out in public. Sometimes, I just want to make a quick trip out, but to set an example, It's important that I make the effort. This is how we best get through tough times. Show up, make an effort and have conversation with strangers. Everyone needs a normal and calm atmosphere right now. You provide the impetus and you set the tone for us to to carry out these daily inspirations. Your ripple spreads wide. #2 would be my favorite.

I really enjoy all your videos and what I enjoy about your channel is the variety. It’s fun to see lifestyle, fashion, chitchat, your walks with Louis etc. I absolutely agree with you about makeup videos being over saturated. I also could not be more aligned with what you said about social media and smartphones and the lack of social interaction. Many young people lack basic social skills and values are becoming less important. I don’t like it either and I worry about the next few generations and what will become of the world. When my family gets together I ban phones from the dinner table and will tell my adult kinds and nieces off if they spend all our time together texting. I’m glad I’m not growing up in these difficult times. Just keep being you! xx

I enjoy your videos. Things are hard right now for all of us. I’ve started using less makeup on a daily basis but still blow it out for special events. I will never give it up. I got hooked at 13, visiting what we called “dime stores” and looking at all the pretties. I read every makeup magazine, cover to cover. Later in life I managed a Clinique counter and was a makeup artist. It was the most fun! I believe it’s just a phase and once the economy picks up things will get better. I hope you decide to stay, I would miss you if you left. Best wishes whatever you decide, I know this has to be a lot of work.

Nisha, I love listening to you, whether it’s make up,hair or clothes. You are so natural and genuine. I am 75,but strangely have many similarities to how you feel about things. Firstly, I have fine thin blonde hair,now with sprinkles of white,which has been the bane of my life! Even in the days of rollers, friends styles would last forever,mine, would flop,in two hours,and still does!! I have always loved being tanned,and really love white and beige clothes. Please just continue with what you are doing,you are a breath of fresh air in this crazy world,and it is obvious,from all the comments, that everyone applauds you for weekly blogs. I had been working from home for 20 years, long before the pandemic, as a medical transcriptionist, a field that was dying, and the isolation was killing me. It's not an exaggeration to say you and Dominique Sachse preserved what sanity I had left and gave me the courage to find a position where I had to leave the house and be around people every day. Hi Nisha, at 62 years old, you have got me liking makeup. I need it at my age! I would love the big palette with the brushes since I have none at all. I feel the same as you as far as people constantly looking at their phone when they're in the company of others. I cut way back on Facebook. Never used Instagram much except for a place to keep special photos. I don't do tic toc. However, I'm always on KZbin these days since I'm not a big fan of Italian TV. When I started this video, my husband asked, "Who's that? A movie star?" Keep doing you! You're a joy!

I love makeup videos, they're calming, I learn something important to me, and it's an escape....I love set #2❤ And I agree, cellphones have destroyed socialization, BUT I have seen 2 people sitting at a restaurant and not a word exchanged, then after awhile the cell phones do come out....that's when you know NOTHING is going to change that relationship 😞

I think there has been a collective shift of priorities. Lots of people have lost jobs through the pandemic, and even some of our nurses are having to resort to using foosbanks if husband/partner has lost their job. I do understand that for a lot of people they can't grasp this reality, as it hasn't affected them, so they don't relate. Also I feel that for those who are fortunate to have remained in employment, their priorities have had to change with the soaring costs of living Internally I feel we aren't the same after these past few years. More and more people are looking at what really matters to them, embarking on spiritual journeys, rediscovering their faith etc. I think that external buying never fills us up or makes us happy deep down. It's just Instant gratification, and then people are looking for the next thing to buy ? I don't think it's just make up... I get a sense of many well known youtubers in the beauty community realising that everything has changed . And it has.. We aren't the same psychologically and emotionally as we were before Covid. Nobody is, and consumerism just isn't an option or an ongoing interest for the majority now. I think its no bad thing? We have much more than we need, and there are lots of women's charities and charities generally that would welcome some of the things we have accumulated over time and rarely or never use. Saving money is definitely my new love language. It makes me feel far more peaceful

Since I started following KZbinrs b4 Covid, u r one I have stuck with. In summer, I now wear the contour & concealer w/a bit of color but no foundation… too hot. I agree, no meaningful face to face conversations today. ‘Our time’ was better bc the world has been getting worse w/time & kids r not happy today bc they r so negatively influenced by social media. Nisha, tho we may cover our eyes, it’s no secret where this world is headed. We have deleted everything except for youtube, otherwise u have a very saturated social media life, which equals no life. I became immersed with watching how to videos and buying all the latest makeup that was coming out a few years ago. There are only so many techniques that can be expanded on, that I have now found myself not watching how to vids. And I have such a large inventory of makeup that I am just not buying anything anymore, except for foundation, so even the review/haul videos are not holding my interest any longer. However I do enjoy your clothing hauls/try-ons, home decor shares and your travels. As someone who comes to England only every 2 to 3 years, I enjoy revisiting the scenery through your lens. Hi Nisha, firstly I love and look forward to all your videos, it's like meeting up with a friend every week for a catch up :-). I don't think make up is over, I think it may be the decline of the actual high street shops that may be at the root of it because I miss going out for a day and just looking and testing make up in the "flesh". With the likes of the big department stores like John Lewis/Debenhams, we have less choice. Online shopping is very convenient but nothing beats having a lovely mooch around the make up stands and coming out with a bag of goodies once in a while. I have always worn full make up but since the first lockdown and working from home most of the time, I have gone to almost no make up or very minimal, unless I am meeting up with someone or going into the office. I miss getting ready everyday and feeling nice but it's not worth the bother if I'm just on my own all day. I would really love for you to do a video on make up brushes from bargain buys to the more expensive and your staple brushes, as I could do with more info on those. Please keep making videos, you are fabulous! xx

Hi Neisha! I absolutely love all your videos even the ones with hood eyes even though I don’t have hood eyes but they give me ideas and inspiration. My most favourite videos of you are your vlogs and your procedures. I think you’re right I used to wear a lot of foundation and make up and since Covid hit I really narrowed it down. I now use a really good tinted sunscreen and some mascara. Very minimal. I also use my bronzer as an eyeshadow and even my blush. I have rarely used any eyeshadow palettes for the last two years. I love watching Louie!! I would love to hear about your post life now that your son has moved out and how you’re coping. My favorite videos you put out are your Monday videos. I have to be honest and say never really watched the makeup videos. I just believe there is only so much you can do with makeup. I personally have never worn much makeup. Lot of 💕💕💕

I love listening to your vlogs Nisha, it is like having a friend nearby. Your thoughts on mobiles is the same as me and if the world continues down the track it is going, I am happy to give up mine or just leave at home. You have helped me so much with my makeup, especially hooded eyes, so I know I would miss that if you stopped, also I love the footage out and about in the UK as it brings back memories for me. I so agree with you about the over saturation of social media. And I worry about our young people being able to communicate too. I loved seeing your vacation vlog last week. I live in US but have visited UK twice and just loved it - especially the beautiful countryside. I think all the palettes are beautiful but really like #1. Hi Nisha, I agree 100% with all your “reflections” and the world is going in a bad direction there’s just no way to sugar coat it, I am a Christian with a strong faith in God and I know a better day is coming eventually so I’m not letting all the craziness in the world get me down. As far as your videos I love them all, but have to say my favorites are just your real life talks, when you share walks with Louie, and outings with your hubby and most definitely when you guys go on holiday, also the fashion and clothing hauls are wonderful. Hi Nisha! I agree with everything you said about the direction society is going. I don't like it and resist it as much as possible. I've never been one to follow the crowd or what's trending so I'm used to, and fine with being the odd man out. As far as make up videos, you're the only KZbinr that I watch regularly and that's mainly because I enjoy your personality and genuinely like you and want to know how you're doing. You never bombard us with every new must have, life changing, holy grail whatever, that you're obsessed with, lol, and I appreciate that. I have enough make-up to last me the rest of my life and then will it to those I leave behind once I'm gone. So I've lost interest in purchasing any more. If they came out with a mascara that actually made you look like you were wearing falsies I would buy that. Anyway, whatever content you decide to put out I'll be watching. Have a wonderful week.

I believe it's because of inflation and people needing to afford gas, food and rent/mortgage. Many just can't afford makeup these days. Many are living paycheck to paycheck or worse. Many are prepping food and supplies for future. Now makeup tutorials, I feel are doing well still. Techniques for hooded eyes, undereye concealer that doesn't age a person further.....Also unmakeup videos where you show the process of washing face, skincare and/or tools used. Morning and nighttime routines. IDK, just my opinion. ❤️ I watch all of your videos regardless. Kind've like hanging out with a friend. SET #2 OR #3

I am a newcomer to makeup and KZbin videos so to me it's all new and exciting. I don't do the other social media platforms and like watching full length videos. Yours are especially engaging because you communicate with your audience like you would a friend and unlike the younger KZbin generation you're makeup tips are more geared to the mature women and to me you are more helpful and relatable. Please enter me for no 3....The green eye shadow make up really makes you blue eyes pop.... I've always really enjoyed all your video's and learnt lots about make up, hair and beauty products. Maybe in the last couple of years people's attention has been channelled in other directions. As well as the escalating cost of living a factor in prioritising spending... Also agree with you about smart phones, they're a useful tool in many ways especially getting news from alternative media rather than the tv but equally can be distracting, divisive and time consuming...

Hi Nisha, I like set 1. I live in Sydney Australia and work from home. I love watching your videos because you are good company. The price of everything has exploded so it is harder to afford things like make up. My local shops recently have been selling an iceberg lettuce for A$10 each and green beans for A$35 a kilo. It's crazy. Restaurants have increased prices to cover the cost of food and wages. The farmers are doing it tough because of the recent floods as well. Your happy face and chats can take my mind off troubles xx

Hi Kylee and Nisha I’m also a Sydneysider, the cost of everything is impacting but I feel also that now extended and constant lockdowns are a thing of the past (I hope) and we’re all out and about may have impact on viewer numbers. I agree with your chat but I do so enjoy your make up and fashion finds and i love listening to what’s on your mind on Mondays. . Sometimes I get so mad at myself over the distraction my iPad or phone take away my time from doing things I use to do..I was so much more productive back in the day of no devices. I’d love your #2 palettes ( i do better with neutrals..more forgiving on my mistakes) or #3 as I have only own 4 very old brushes.
