I will definitely get this one, as I always say I prefer to control my sprays than to have a fragrance that last 20 seconds and I have to apply 20 times, it's a matter of common sense to me. Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!

I haven't tried the original but have a sample of Intense & I enjoyed it. I found it very smooth & pleasent. I didn't find it overwhelming at all

I feel like the Intense is more refined & mature. They took the original formula and recalibrated it. The Intense is the more successful, more mature, more cultured older brother to the original.

I actually perceived the Intense Red Tobacco as in fact somewhat softer and less powerful than the original. But have only compared them once and mostly their drydowns on paper. Would need to compare them a few more times and on skin.

Really appreciate this comparison, I have both in a basket and have been going back and forth between their Fragrantica pages trying to decide which to get. Improbably going to get the original as I like the idea of more fruit.

It didn’t feel more intense to me. It smelled like the opening was a little less harsh but since I own red tobacco it didn’t feel imperative to get the intense version.

Centaurus IMO doesn't share any similarities with red tobacco. I kind of get the GS. I find it more closer to Amouage Boundless, but much sweeter.

I really don't want/need anything more potent than the beastly Red Tobacco, so I'll wait until my bottle runs dry until I replace it with the Intense version. Of course, that may be a long, long time since I so many other fragrances and I only need a 2-3 sprays (tops) or the Red Beast. I agree with everything you mentioned. Cheers!

Whenever I tried both of my samples I always enjoyed the intense more. It's not as harsh as the og but definitely still performing really well. Also, when I tried Cuir Intense in the new guerlain bottles, the fragrance reminded me of the intense a little.

Red Tobacco, a great fragrance from Mancera. As usual, it's a good clone with a twist of another niche fragrance at a good price. Mancera is the best clone house out there.

Intense Red Tobacco is at discounters by the way. Just under $140 CAD so not pricey. I have Arrakis but I kind of wish I'd just gotten the OG Red Tobacco because damn is Arrakis brutally strong and sweet. I don't know if this DNA needed an extrait version from any house

I have the OG, bottle is from 2020. I decided to buy Intense. Intense is nice but I feel like the leather accord takes away from what I like about the OG. The Intense has softer projection. I ended up returning it.

I like Mancera’s fragrances for the value but one thing I’ve noticed is that I now have to sample before just blind buying. I say this because if you’re not careful, it could be a redundant buy. For example, recently I got a few samples, including intense RT and silver blue. IRT smells like hindu kush imo which I already own; they do share some of the same notes. I like the silver blue but that reminds me of instant crush, which too I have already.

After trying it in the mystery box, I thought it was a bit smoother and rounder than the original. I enjoyed it. If I didn't have a bottle of the original already, I'd buy it for sure. It's just too redundant to have both. Maybe one day I'll get rid of my original and get the intense instead.

The original RT is more intense to me. I like it way more because it is more fruity and complex to me. The Intense Version isn't fruity at all to me and way more leather and oud filled.

Plus for Mancera - overall. If one is starting into fragrance Niche - Mancera good value for money. I have about 8 or 10 of their fragrances. Better to sample, as too many have too many similarities - that you have to SAMPLE them. The latest one from there is WIND WOOD. Smells and is better than Dior Fahrenheit.

Wasn't the OG Red Tobacco supposed to be reformulated so that the opening wasn't so harsh? I've had the harsh one. It's too much for me. I like the DNA but something in it rubbed me the wrong way. The Intense is better, more rounded. But since then I've tried PdM Carlisle and that's my favourite by far.
