However if you to ask anyone above the age of 12 who actually knows football then they will tell you that although City is the better team now, Manchester is Red. Forget about money for a minute. it's not even just about success, United has had a cultural impact that city will probably never have, united were the first English team to win the European cup, they were one of the first teams to give youth a chance under busby, they are still the only english team to win a treble. no matter how you look at it, City are just doing the stuff United invented. teams like United, Liverpool and Arsenal made the English game what it is today, City fans need to respect that even if it is begrudgingly, City have the better squad right now and probably a better manager, but United's ethos and history are something they'll not have for years.
