Until the total number of losses and draws by Arsenal total 9 , they are true title contenders ,league history doesn't lie . Beating top teams is only important in knockout cup games. In the league you have to perform against 19 teams , losing to 4 teams isn't enough to stop you from winning the league . Liverpool and Spurs were great against top teams , but they haven't won even a spoon yet .

Honestly, as an Arsenal fan, I'll only consider Arsenal in the race for the title in late January if they're still there. The December/Jan period is one where everything can fall apart so easily, keep in or about at that time, let's say up to 6 points off top, and there's some kind of chance. Drift to 10, and the goal is keep in the CL spots. As of now I see it as Man City and Liverpool as the ones challenging for the title (Man City clear favourites), Chelsea comes up as a third because of that midfield, but still their relatively weak defense puts them behind Liverpool, Arsenal in fourth with Tottenham with all their issues of depth and stadiums being a bit behind us, and Man U, when they get their act together 6th. Can't really be more optimistic than that right now.

Tbh we can not tell wether Arsenal are title contenders till after the Liverpool game. At the moment, we are challenging for top 4. If they can get a draw or maybe even a win convincingly, then why can’t we challenge for the league. After we’ve played Liverpool Spurs and United then we can really tell. Realistically the maximum points we can get out of that is 7/9 imo but even 5or 6 out of 9 will still keep us in the mix.

as a spurs fan i feel like we need a new left back as i feel like ben davies is a bit poor due to not having that crossing ability that we desire that trippier can do. We SERIOUSLY need a back up striker for kane as llorente has reached his peak with janssen who has gone missing(i think he went on loan to another team).We could say we may need another CAM and a DM but that can come over time.. Our opening start to the season has been a bit shaky tbh with alot of matches with 2-1s and not many convincing wins up until the united game which was a glimpse of hope of challenging from the title but the injury run may have been our downfall as we did not do any signings in the summer. Overall even though we have been grinding results the quality just hasnt been there like last season meaning the battle for top 4 may be harder than we think with arsenal and chelsea on the rise and liverpool and city securing the top 2 spot
