I think he is right. Spurs are on the periphery of something special in my humble opinion. The club and supporters have just got to get behind big Ange. The exact same thing happened at Arsenal under Arteta. If I remember correctly, some Arsenal supporters were calling for Arteta's head. However, the Arsenal board held their nerve and look where are they now. We just got to look at the bigger picture.

This. As you mention we only have to look down the road to see what patience can bring. What a lot of impatient fans don't seem to realise is that the club is being transformed from top to bottom and that it will take time for this to come to fruition. You mention holding their nerve and think Levy will too as his investment here isn't just in the manager and players but a change of culture throughout.

Martin Keown was a fantastic defender but he's an absolute clown of a pundit. Spurs are about 2 or 3 years behind Arsenal in terms of developing the squad. Arsenal would expect to be challenging for the title this season. Spurs would expect to be challenging (keyword) for a top 4 finish. One thing is clear, Spurs MUST take their chances against Arsenal because it's a given that Spurs will give Arsenal plenty of chances. Against high quality opposition, I get nervous that Spurs could get absolutely battered, since they are so open at the back.

I’m a gunners fan but I also think spurs have a top manager now. The football he plays is quality. The only question is whether he can adapt and overcome when things get tricky for them and teams start to work them out.

I think it's nice to see the top teams actually looking over their shoulder with a little fear, rather than laughing at us as we struggle to maintain a top-6 label. Between the stadium, the health of our finances, finally getting in some good defenders, doing some great deals on some serious young talent, persuading players of our project away from other big European clubs and us now having a positive, attacking and very likeable manager. Our potential to actually become a strong top 4 contender hasn't been stronger for a long time. If we can attract a big new investor and get those stadium naming rights sold, we could be in a really rosy position. I think a lot of teams are breathing a sigh of relief that we don't have Kane at the tip of Anges spear or we'd be a proper handful. If Solanke can get rolling and build a relationship with Maddison, Kulu/Johnson and Son, we really should get some serious goal tallies coming this season.

All he really said was that 'Spurs ain't better then Arsenal but are dangerous and shouldn't be dismissed' which isn't the statement of the season, he's just being level headed. I'd take a draw now. We're not looking capable of doing much special this season like any previous season, but we're exciting to watch, and that's the important thing! Because of Arsenal's players out, I predict 2-2; Solanke and Romaro to score, Richarlison to get an goal ruled offside, Saka and Trossard to also score.

I played as a kid for Arsenal when my family were all Spurs fans, it did not work out for me , I could never understand why the hatred existed we as clubs both represent North London against the Northern giants, so what’s wrong in supporting both.

This weekend is a BIG test for both teams, a draw would be my pick.As far as the difference of clubs, the reality analysis is that Spurs are 2nd best in NL, good in cups but poor in the league.Right now coming off 62 against(counting the genuine VAR mistake V Liverpool) to 29 against shows the stark division between the teams.

I remember us beating Arsenal to CL and everyone feeling all very smug. Arsenal stick with the manager and look where we are now. They’ve been good but they’ve also been VERY lucky with having had very few significant and long term injuries over the last two seasons. If they had gone through what we did then I doubt the difference would be so significant. This season we will be fired up, playing at home for the first NLD of the season whereas usually it’s away, and we will desperate to get it right. I can’t see past a win for us.

@SonnyTalksSpurs not under ENIC. Their business model isn't to make THFC a successful football team. They want THFC and all the accociated parts (non football events) to keep the clubs value as high as possible. They then use that paper value to secure loans for ventures unrelated to THFC, and that is where they're getting filthy rich. They're not taking money out of THFC, but they only put the minimum amount required to keep us semi relevant in.

This doesn't surprise me at all that he said that, as much as I hated the guy as a player he's always been a fair and likeable pundit whoever he covers. Same applies to Ian Wright in that while both absolutely support and love Arsenal it never clouds their judgement when commenting on Spurs. Even Merson can be fair towards us (at times). Both are so much better than Alan Smith and Lee Dixon.
