Dana has made it very clear that he has zero interest in making a 165 lb division so I don't know why there would even be speculation that it would happen especially considering if you're going to make a 165 lb division then you really can't keep the 170 lb division you'd have to change it to 175 and doing all of that I think just there isn't a chance it's going to happen.

The heavyweight division is where I see the most problems. They need a division at 225 and then 245 and up. The light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions are a little too thin with top talent at those weights though.

I love the idea of a 165 and a 175 lb division to replace the 170 lb one. I understand that 170 has a lot of history and three grand champions (Hughes, St. Pierre, and Usman), but the history will still be there. Will it happen? I'm pretty sure it will, but it won't happen on a whim. There must be a demand for it. I'm guessing that one of the UFC media partners is going to want it and will offer the UFC buckets of money to open the division. Think ESPN or a wealthy Saudi prince or something. My one request is that the 165 division not be called super lightweight. In English, super light means very light, not heavier than light. I hope someone in the UFC office knows English well enough to point this out. 155 lightweight 165 welterweight 175 super welterweight

Watching Michael Chandler attempting to promote PPVs is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. By bringing up Khabib vs Conor, the most PPVs of all time in the UFC, you’re sabotaging yourself. I think Dustin Vs Conor II, did rather well, but asking fans to purchase the PPVs is a losing proposition. His reasoning is bizarre, taking about retiring the man that will most likely sleep you. When you have the greatest promoter of all time in Conor McGregor, let him sell the fight. That’s what you wanted, so STFU, as you’ve abandoned the “See You At the Top”, who is Makhachev, chasing instead the Conor payday.
