Is Mercedes ok? C43 AMG Warning

Though I love Mercedes and AMG I really think they messed up with the C43 and C63. Also the premium you will pay is an extortion. Last generation C63 8 cylinders was the price of this 4 cylinder C43.. absolute madness. Their sales will definitely suffer in my honest opinion.

Interesting video. Instead of 2 x C Class AMG’s make one with the M256 EQboost engine and rebadge as a C55 with 500 hp.

Try building one in the UK. There are virtually no options. No black pack, aero pack and you can’t have the sports seats. Very poor.

It was interesting watching and listening to your comment on the 4 cylinder c class , while we no that engine size have different characteristics that offer driving pleasure the new tech on the c43 amg is built to offer what the 6 cylinder older engines are lacking and as a f1 fan i can't wait to drive the car.

Unfortunately it will not sound better than the 340. Also 100thousand Euros for a c43..come on. Also an electrified c63.. AMG loosing it's soul. You can put a 4 cylinder in the A class cla class but not in a C class. The sales will definitely not be good.

Mercedes has always been more expensive. Kinda odd video for those of us who know. Currently the 0 to 60 says 4.6 but just as prior c43, the number is underestimated. Price also probably reflects the now completely hand-built engine. Unlike the bmw.

Dude you are really strange :-D There is difference in performance in couple of milliseconds - you will not even noticing it in real life. MB has much better set of features and both exterior and interior in overall. And yes, MB achieving this performance without additional cylinders (over electric turbo and hybrid tech), the same trend you can see in F1 and other competitive sport cars. What I really frustrated about is C AMG 43 sound - which looks like pre-recorded and is the same always, from other car reviews on the road.

That’s the reason why I bought the previous C43. Decent 2nd hand car with low miles for a good price. I don’t believe anything from their F1 engine technology (sales pitch). I personally know that the A45 en Cla45 engines are just completely run down when they reach 100.000 km’s and they sound like shit ..

@Bro Jackson Hi, Well, they improved the gearbox and the 2018 engines are better than the first generation. (C117 versions) A big issue is that the warm-up takes long (longer than my C43 (20 + km’s) And people ignore this and give it full throttle while they’re not warmed up. I would definitely do a thorough test drive before buying one.
