I love Michael and his beautiful voice and songs so much. But I don't think anyone is entitled to know what's going on with his health except his loved ones and personal doctors. Sometimes as much as we adore our idols, it's not really our business to know such things unless they themselves decide to reveal them publicly. I'm just grateful Michael is still kicking it and pushing on no matter what he's going through and I hope he'll be okay. 💜

Hey Joey. As a life-long Michael Bolton super fan I can tell you that this has been slowly creeping up since around 2017 or so. The energy level decline. I have noticed some other things in videos that give me a little cause for concern, or a pause. Michael has given his entire life to focusing on one thing, his vocal chords. I do of course notice he keeps his hands mostly in the same position now, and sometimes a strange shake of his feet when they aren’t planted. But, he is 70, he’s toured for 5 decades and he just had a show in Vegas this week in which he was phenomenal and actually had more energy than usual. (Something I noticed the moment he walked out.) All in all, he could go out and sit on a stool if he still enjoyed doing it, and I’d be there to hear that voice, and see that icon in action. In my opinion he is the greatest raw vocal power and talent in the history of recorded music. No-one else has been able to do what he has done, especially for as long as he has maintained it. When this man sings, EVERYONE knows who it is. Even though it was almost 4 decades ago that he was in the studio recording the hits that we all love. Michael seemed fine and of sound mind in right before COVID when I met him after a concert in Ft. Worth and we chatted for about 10 minutes. Anyways, that’s the take from someone who’s watched and studied him closely since I was a child.

I am concerned. Go look at his duet with Skunk - I was concerned then as well. Something is up. He's pretty young for it, but his eyes look vacant at times. Tony Bennett went a long time before people knew he had issues. Honestly, I wish people would just say something instead of making everyone wonder. I get privacy and all. I’ve been a fan of Michaels for 34 years and been to about 160 concerts. He was never one to move around the stage that much. But I noticed since the start of the pandemic, he tends to stay in the center as not to encourage fans from running forward and try to take his hand. He had taken the pandemic very seriously as well as his crew. Whenever there’s a hint of Covid around him, everyone masks up. After all, if he gets sick, the show can’t go on and it effects everyone. Also, I January his brother and mentor became very sick and passed away shortly after he filmed this show. He also just turned 70. While it’s not a great age, it does effect your agility. I believe he flew in for that show from CT. His hair has gone white and it makes him look aged and washed out. Michael hasn’t done a traditional “tour” in years. We’ve get dates in drips and drabs. He was just in LV and CA last week and has shows scheduled in Dec and I saw one for March/24. He had trouble with reoccurring laryngitis years back and since then I noticed there’s always a space between his shows. We’re hoping that meet and greets return. Did you look at the eyes on that mask? I don’t think he could see. They had to help him on and off the stage. I hate when they use costumes like that when other performers have more freedom.

I think Joey is right about Michael Bolton. I just saw him perform on The Disney Celebration on ABC with Mickey Guyton, and whenever he started singing he just stood in one place and moved his arms up and down a few times. He never even smiled or changed the expression on his face at all.

Of course, Michael Bolton is okay... like all of us, he is human and can suffer from anxiety, exhaustion, tiredness, etc. At seventy years old, he is still on tour, if you check his tour dates the various states where he has to perform can be tiresome but he wants to make his fans and supporters happy, he just loves singing. After 14 years, in 2023 he can produce a new album with new lyrics, which is commendable. Let's not scrutinize him and assert our own feelings on his body movements, he was not a dancer anyway, he more concentrated on his vocal cords and rendition. The Michael Bolton that I have followed for over 4 decades is a private person and will only share what is necessary of himself with his fans and the world. Most importantly above everything else he shares, his unique, soothing, and sensuous voice with all of us, and don't forget he works tirelessly with his charities.😍😍😍🥰🥰

That is a rumor that has been going around for a few years. Signs of Parkinson's include muscle rigidity, difficulty walking, and facial "masking" (having a blank or uninterested expression on their face). Honestly, based on the performance, he is displaying a lot of signs of the disease.

In 2021 he was co-hosting The Celebrity Dating Game with Zooey Deschanel. Through the show, he was sitting in an actor's chair for 95% of the show. The ONLY time he got up was to sing 2 love songs, 1 for each contestant's segment. He didn't move about, he was stiff as a board like he was on The Masked Singer. Back then, I also tried to research what was wrong with him because it seems so out of his character. I thought perhaps he suffered a stroke or had some kind of illness. I found NOTHING, so I'm going to take his age into consideration for his stage presence then and now.

Well we all know now he had a brain tumor unfortunately and that's why I think he was acting the way he was . And it's the end of March 2024 and there's been no word about his condition. I saw him in West Palm Beach 1 1 /2 years ago and he was very stiff on stage as well. His voice was terrific, but he was immobile and ramrod straight in the middle of the stage. I've seen him decades ago (He sang my wedding song 35 years ago) and he of course was much more mobile and fluid in his movements. May he have continued health and love.

I work in long term care and he is showing a lot of signs of the disease - difficulty walking, muscle rigidity, and face "masking" (having a blank or uninterested expression on your face). As far as I know, he has not addressed the rumors yet. Then again, he is 70 years old and health problems tend to increase and energy levels decrease as you get older. Perhaps his age is just catching up to him. I believe he has said that he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart.

I noticed in the interview clip how unnaturally his hands were posed. The fingers rigid straight and seemingly fused together, absolutely zero gesticulation. It did make me wonder about Parkinson's if he was holding rigid to stifle tremors. That is so true it made this look unfair like for instance one of the contestants from Agt who sing hallelujah in the voice France she said that the producers made her look bad on TV because she actually sing in front of the judge and she wasn’t nervous and she made it through the next round but what we got is she was supposedly nervous and she got four no’s. It makes no sense why would someone do this and also for Michael Bolton he should’ve advance the battle royal and prove that he can win instead of Gargoyles and Squirrel but they both are talented. All I’m saying is the producers should not get to decide what they see in someone who they see. And for the record I am a fan of Gargoyle and the Squirrel. Honestly, I don't know a whole lot about Michael Bolton, and I am not a loyal fan! Throughout the years, I have only heard a few of his songs here and there, I love the song, When A Man Loves A Woman! But I completely agree, just by watching him in singing videos, and watching bits and pieces of him singing in concerts, he definitely did not seem okay after being unmasked on The Masked Singer! He didn't act right, something was very off with him! But he is 70 years old, the older you get the more your body breaks down, especially with well known singers and actors! Also, you could tell that he was sweating a whole lot after they removed the mask! So, with me not being a full pledged and loyal Michael Bolton fan, I even noticed that he wasn't himself! I felt very concerned about him, and his health as well!

Look at the way he moved, he reminded me of having ankylosing spondylitis. It's a type of arthritis that can cause some of the bones in the spine, called vertebrae, to fuse. Mick Mars from Motly Crue suffers from this and he can barely move.

You can still do what you love when you have health issues. I don't know if he has any, but if he does then I'm glad to see him performing in spite of them! With aging comes higher risks for developing just about every chronic disease known to man and many people work through them as much as they can. He's definitely not touring, recording, or doing as many public appearances in recent years. He might be forced to slow down due to his age and health, but regardless, I hope he can continue to do what he loves for many years to come!

Michael Bolton has some kind of disease I forgot the name of the disease. I saw him April 2022 and yes he barely moves around. His voice is still fantastic as ever but he lost his ability to move like he used to. Sad to see him declining. He got out on social media and said he was Ill. He moved real slow on stage. I believe he was 70 at the time and he walked like he was 85.

Well, those costumes are so hot and I wonder if the Mask Singer take that into consideration when the contestant is older and make their costumes a bit easier for them. I just watched him on the "Wonderful World of Disney Magical Holiday Celebration" and he didn't move...at all. He almost looked like a prop, or a mechanical figure. He has seemed off the last few times I saw him. When he was on Celebrity Dating Game, he seemed the same. He didn't move much and had little to no facial expression. I have been in the medical field for almost 30 years with a specialty in geriatrics and if I had to take an educated guess, I would guess He has Parkinsons, Mobeius Syndrome, or possibly suffering effects from some medications. My first guess would be parkinsons due to his lack of physical movement on top of the lack of facial expression.
