I have an old surface rt and I still have it in my closet. It won't charge anymore, the metal part of the surface are now rusting. I want to use it again but I don't know what to do. Someone gave it to me and she bought it from US and shipped it to where I am, Philippines. I don't know if there's anyone here nearby who knows how to fix my sureface rt.

I like your video man. Informative, and in depth about the tablet which is good in 2021 considering how cheap these are but how little support they have. I remember looking for a surface in 2017 and they were £50 even then on eBay... trouble is the app compatibility is just not good enough

@@iHelptube I just bought a Verizon LTE surface 3 for $110. It's still good because if you're a traveler and don't have unlimited WiFi, you can connect the tablet to the TV via mini dpport and HDMI. Full HD or 4k quality. The cheapest alternative for travelers with no unlimited WiFi. Plus I can extend the screen and watch Movie on TV and watch another in the tablet. I'm excited 😂 I didn't think about this before. I can't think of a better alternative that's cheap, connecting phone to TV have very bad image quality. So it was either $150 a month for unlimited WiFi or buy a used LTE surface 3. I'm hoping I can still use text, I believe I can because I did when I had LTE iPad long ago. I don't really have friends who calls me anyway so texting is good enough

I have 2 of these RT ..one touchscreen another not touchscreen....Just lying around almost 7 years...Still works well...but I cannot upgrade ANYTHING...so..I just use the touch screen for you tube ,watching movies and as a standalone picture frame..(I will sell off the non touch screen as I don't know what else I could do with it).

Hi Chen, desktop mode is fast enough for the price. You can watch youtube on desktop mode. Tablet mode is slow and I personally don’t like it. Having said that, works perfectly as a laptop in laptop mode.

If you have windows 8 the store won't ever load up unless you get win 8.1

Update all the updates, then right-click in the taskbar, click properties, go to start menu tabs, check the box "use the start menu instead of the Start screen" ( u need to restart). I'm still using my Surface RT with that start menu, pretty cool

Yup I would agree with that. Touchscreen is surprisingly ok. The best part of this is that it is super portable and the battery lasts a long time. Longer than my 13" Macbook pro.

Actually it is worth it only real tech guys know installing windows 11 is not a problem my dad had the fist surface pro that came out and he was annoyed that windows 10 discontinued updates and now that I forced windows 11 he's super happy than ever before

There’s no windows 11 build for the ARM32 architecture. There is windows 10, but it’s a really old insider preview from 2017. Don’t buy it for that.

They screwed everyone over. They ended support for internet explorer and didn't allow for a Microsoft edge update. Internet explorer Is pretty much doesn't work right and doesn't load pages correctly anymore because Microsoft switched to edge chromium as there main browser. They pretty much abandoned the old surface with rt.
