@24:35 so basically, you're saying that the CEO messed up by not telling the consumer that the oil should only be used as a sealant and putting on the scalp regularly can cause inflammation which can in turn cause hair loss.

Hey love, you’re making baked Chicken. You make it with salt pepper garlic and onion powder and paprika. That’s how you make your baked chicken every time. This time you’re out of paprika so you make the baked chicken without paprika this time. The ingredient that was removed was “paprika” it didn’t add or take from the formula it was expensive and of course png removed to save costs. I hope I made it make sense. The ingredient was not a key ingredient with no real benefit she just had it in there for marketing and they removed it for costs. There was no change in the formula. Now manufacturing process that’s a different story…

Maybe it could be the quality of the ingredients used. It maybe the same ingredients just a cheaper quality of ingredients used which can make a huge difference. For example not all Jamaican black castor oil is created equally. Some makes me itch while others don’t.

The oil is horrible. I used it once, in the evening. I woke up at 2am because of the burning and itching. I immediately washed it out upon waking. I've NEVER had danduff or any scalp issue naturally, or from any other product. The oil, after just one use left my scalp as if it was a chemical burn. Afterwards, when I would part my hair, the part was 2 times wider than before. Its been nearly 2 years and finally my hair has filled in by going back to products i used prior. Scalp is still hella dry now though.

Yes oils can be bad on scalp when not washed off, I use it for ends and hot oil treatment, u also have to know ingredients and if they clog pores...water base serums are great for scalp health and hydrating

I started using Mielle at the end of 2019. I’m a simple person so when I realized most of the line worked for I stuck beside it. My whole routine besides gel was all Mielle. Fast forward to this year I finally bought the Shampoo end of last year and unfortunately my hair has thinned out. I didn’t realize it was from the line. I tossed everything & was actually led to your channel when I started researching new products to purchase. I’m literally starting over because my hair is so bad now.

I used the Rosemary oil,the shampoo and conditioner way back when and noticed my scalp was very dry,itchy and irritated in some parts so I stopped after I noticed this was the cause. So I quietly stopped using because I thought hmmm not for me but this is crazzzy. I reverted back into the whipping up stuff in my kitchen and my hair is thicker than ever

Stop it , i,m a hairstylist. when u change anything in he process of doing hair will make a big difference. so i used a different hair color , my clients hair came out. we as consumer can tell the difference, from looking from outside in . she knew that png will change the formula. both png and her saw money. i like shea butter , quality went out of the window. bottom these big company do not respect black consumers, facts and data to back what i just typed. if i been using your product for years, now it not doing the same job

The ingredients can remain the same WHILE changing the formulation. Additionally, stimulants are irritants and can inflame the follicles especially with prolonged use. Carrier oils are generally safe.

I tried the rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner both leave in and masque. Something about the masque would irritate my neck and shoulders. As I would apply it I noticed the hair that would touch my neck or shoulder would make it itch. so that's what makes me concerned and I stopped using it.🤷🏾

Im sorry you and your loved ones experienced hair loss. I know how devastating it is. That’s why I recommend seeing a Board Certified dermatologist and getting a scalp evaluation to confirm their cause of hair loss; a dermatologist will then create a customized growth regimen for them based on their specific needs. If their hair loss is due to a transient cause like inflammation from chemicals the good news is their hair will thrive again; but I wouldn’t leave it to chance and anecdotes. Get you and them a scalp evaluation.

Here is my take as a loyal consumer to black businesses: her entire mission and business statement has been to uplift and uphold the black community, yet the community is talking about how her products are no longer up to her original standards. She had a choice to stick to her mission statement or continue to expand globally to grow financially in her own bank account. It’s no longer about uplifting the black community. She uses that as a marketing tactic bc a true business ceo owner would look into how this is effecting their consumers instead of placing blame. It isn’t okay to demand our loyal trust and refuse to take criticism, feedback, or legitimate health concerns about the product. P&G as a company is 180 of the mission statement she stood for and that is why we can no longer trust her or her business practices, products, and statements. She needs media training. They need to investigate. But it’s P&G…. They would rather lie and double down on the consumers issue bc like you said can you prove in court that their products have caused issues… shady business practices.

Girl that stuff took out 1/3 of my hair and I did go to the doctor. I don't care if you believe me or not, I will NEVER touch that ish again. Girl, just stop. We not gone keep using that mess because you have "reasons" and bias. All products would be having this same effect on our hair. We black and learn and study our hair better than any other culture. This really scares me because if we express a concern with YOUR product only trying to make it better for everyone, we gone hear this same mouth trying to prove you are right instead of researching the issue. I have yet to try Mielle products (I'm glad it missed me, though). If I'm not mistaken a couple of her foams/curling stuff was referenced in the recommended product list for'Girl Wash Your Damn Hair' NONB Challenge by See Some Curls. I have tried & have enough other stuff in my stash to start a beauty store. To the point I be walking with it to my Stylist so it doesn't go to waste. I’ve seen and heard stories of hair loss prior to this p&g merger. But with rosemary I’d say just be careful to me the oil ingredients just sounds like a cocktail of irritants. You spoke a lot of truths however.

Well explained video ❤. I personally have not had a bad experience with this brand. All I know is when this line 1st came out. I tried it and it wasn’t as moisturizing as I needed it to be, but I haven’t had issues with my hair falling out because I stopped using it because it just wasn’t for me, but for those that had not so pleasant experience. I pray that God is able to guide you on what product to use for your hair. Just give it time.
