4:24 It may be a problem with your skin, When i had a normal average-sized skin it was displaying perfectly, when i switched to a different sized skin from a skin pack or from the character creator, thats where my problem comes in. if the new skin was taller than the previous skin, the shield was covering a quarter of my screen if the skin was shorter than the previous skin, the shield is really small. It's really weird because right hand isn't affected by this (correct me if I'm wrong)

The "parrot" sound glitch wasnt a glitch. Parrots have a sound mimic feature, that after hearing a sound once, they can mimic it at random.

In my experience bedrock can have a general higher fps then console edition but it also has so many random small stutters and freezes ranging from like 1/4 a second to 3 seconds. And random weird bugs, I keep having blocks getting stuck in my inventory and I have to reload the game. Also amazing background music choice

Hey there! This video is hilarious! I think the new outro is fantastic, and the editing throughout the video is really entertaining. Keep up the good work! I think your content is really growing into a real thing. Minecraft on console editions can definitely be rough. I've had some similar experiences with lag and bugs on my PS3,4,5 and other consoles, especially in older versions of the game. It can be really frustrating when you're trying to enjoy the game and you keep running into these issues. Hopefully Mojang can iron out some of these problems in future updates. By the way, what music are you using? It sounds really cool and adds a lot to the atmosphere of the gameplay and the video. You mentioned the frame rate being lower on the PS4 than on the PS5. This is probably because the PS4 is less powerful. But thw PS4 can really hold its place since it still runs fantastic on some PS4’s, I just find that some PS4’s are built like crap idk why. You also mentioned that the microphone quality sounded better on the PS4. That's interesting! I would have expected the microphone quality to be better on the PS5 lmao. Overall, this was a really fun video to watch. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Minecraft on PS4 and I’m looking forward to see more of these console focused projects, thanks Forest. (edit) I still can't find a reason why the mic is like that, is it just like an encoder error?

I convert my world in editions to Minecraft bedrock on my ps4 and then my world just got worse: too many items disappeared in chests villager trading is buggy and the pillager outpost doesn’t even spawn a pillager

I am honestly kind of surprised. Got my ps4 slim during Christmas of 2019, one of my first games was Minecraft. I have around 300 hours on it and spent all of summer 2021 playing it. I haven't had issues with it, eventually got my Java account back during August of 2021, been playing mainly Java ever since. I might return and give my old world another playthrough since I have a Ps5 now.

Minecraft has the native ps5 version of minecraft its currently on preview. Its loading is way faster than ps4 version or minecraft. Increased the render distance to 36 instead of 28 chunks. And has 4k resulotion still cap at 60 fps for some reason. If you have ps5 and the preview version of minecraft ps5. Please let me know if you make a video about it.

One time I was on my ps4, as you do, I decided to try some experimental features, I believe at the time we were at the cusp of 1.18's release, so I put it onto my main survival world, so I did, and I don't even know what happened, but after some shananagins I could not download any resource pack at all (?) And my world went from being like 80MB to 1.7GB

gpu speed doesnt affect render distance. chunks are handled by the cpu, which is horribly slow on the ps4 but is quite decent on the ps5 so idk what the problem is there

Last time I went on my Xbox One X (before Series S & X) the loading screen took 47 minutes. Once I got into the game the UI froze for another 15 minutes. Once I finally painstakingly got into a world I had to wait another 20 minutes to load the world. Once I got into it I froze for 5 minutes. WHAT IS THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A VIDEOGAME??!!!!

Yo, I was once an original Xbox one bedrock player for a few years, I want it to be known that we also had everything in this video, but at least 5x worse. I have so many clips of examples but the most infuriating one would be when your controller died, or if you accidentally unplugged your headset, it would crash everything, including the Xbox itself.

I love the video's editing, but Minecraft as a whole is a game that exists, a game has its glitches. I've put hours into Minecraft bedrock for ps4 and it's one of the funnest games I've ever played. There are lots of kids that do not have videogames so I'd be thankful that I have them rather than uploading videos shaming them. That's the devil tricking people into thinking they have it bad with a ps5 in their airconditioned bedroom

Minecraft Bedrock on PS4 is kinda good. It may freeze some times but for me, it is playable. I had the legacy console edition first because i have the legacy console disc. Then i decided to get an account on PS4 to be able to play nfs and then, Minecraft updated to Bedrock Edition, and weirdly, the legacy console disc launches Minecraft Bedrock. I never bought the Bedrock disc.

I believe much of the reason is the CPU. Teraflops is a horrible way to measure performance, especially when dealing with GPUs from different manufacturers and different GPU architectures. The measurement tells you nothing so it's pretty pointless. The CPU on the other hand is known to be terrible in the PS4. It has been a problem since it initially came out as it comes from one of AMD's worst processor lines. So while it is 8 cores, it is 8 very slow cores. That is why your phone and many other people's phones likely have better performance. I can bet your phone's CPU is far better than that what is in the PS4 and Xbox One. The PS5 has no advantages as both the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles are simply running Minecraft in Backwards compatibility mode. This means they cannot take full advantage of the better hardware inside the 9th gen consoles leaving them slightly better off. Those Jaguar CPUs have been known to be a big bottleneck when it comes to performance in many games on the 8th gen consoles. Now this isn't like the Java edition where that game heavily relies on single core CPU speed, Bedrock relies on multicore and even then the multicore performance in these consoles sucks too. Once again a performance bottleneck. Technically even the over 10 year old Core i7-4770k, something slower than a lot of low end PC CPUs today, beats the PS4 in CPU. Most flagship smartphones whether it's Apple, Samsung, Asus, or any other smartphone manufacturer will have a faster CPU than the PS4. GPU simply just doesn't matter much in this circumstance.

I'm going to be honest guys. Just play The old version I mean you can still use an Xbox One disc on series x and same with the PS4 edition disc. It might be a little harder to get the edition button but also if you're a Nintendo switch player well you don't have a way of getting Nintendo switch edition. So sorry you're f***** or you can just play 3DS edition or Wii u edition but you have to get another console and if you have a PC just play Java. There is no reason to be playing bedrock especially when you get bedrock and Java

bedrock is terrible compared to java, i play latest ver for solo survival and 1.8.9 for pvp/minigames but i play bedrock when i play with friends (none of them have pcs.) Ive had my ps4 since launch day and it runs just about fine? theres lag, but ive never experienced any bugs like that or random crashes. java still better tho

Also you held down the "quick access" emote button, there's an issue where it just stays there and repeats your last input if you're moving or jumping when on the controller input. It's extremely annoying and just ridiculous how this had been in the game for this long. I've never played a worse video game in my life, that is not sarcasm.

Huge audience. Most of bedrock's audience is likely on the PS4 and Xbox One. They'd get far more backlash if they didn't release there. Plus the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles still run the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game via backwards compatibility. That would essentially cut off the update from working on any console.
