You defined it perfectly... Java has the singeplayer, bulky typical lag of your PC not handling the game. Bedrock has the WAY more annoying online lag, where the game runs at 60 fps but everything is slowed down

The ps4 editions button is also just bugged to the point that it has a chance to just disappear forever so sometimes even if u have a disc copy of minecraft ps4 edition u wont get the editions button

Yeah, I’ve been trying to play the ps4 edition rather than the current bedrock on ps4. It would constantly crash even though the disk was completely fine and no corrupted files. I was able to get Editions to work consistently by deleting and reinstalling Minecraft game and booting it up with no updates. I let the game update to its current version and click on editions and not bother trying to open a new world on bedrock.

there is a way to get editions button anytime you want. firstly, back up every all of your data, then factory reset by initializing ps4/ps5, get the legacy disc, make a new Psn account, turn off primary ps4, change date and time to 2014, disable internet, disable autosave on the world then mine wood for a trophy, save and quit to main menu, turn on internet, when its ready to install, disable internet, load it, then enjoy.

Biggest issue with bedrock other than jank is that it just feels wrong playing it, at any moment it feels like the games gonna crash or just randomly corrupt one of my worlds

Cool video. You know how mobs spawn a whole heap in the Nether? It might help if you change the stimulation distance (located in the world settings) to above 4. Mobs should spawn further away and not all in one place. Also kinda funny/sad to see how Bedrock on Consoles is still ass (I’m currently a PC Bedrock user, formally a Mobile user before that. Bedrock plays a lot better on PC, even a lot better compared to Mobile now these days lol)

I cannot believe it has been almost 5 years since bedrock came to ps4 and it’s still THIS bad. It is a pain to host a world with even just 4 of my friends due to how slow bedrock is, everything is laggy asf, food has to be eaten twice for it to count, and chunks decide to not even load sometimes. Even on pc, there is barely a difference. Great move by Microsoft to port a MOBILE version (yes, pocket edition) of the game to all platforms, as well as making such a bad marketplace to monetize as much as possible.

Not to mention recently there was an update and I downloaded it but it said it didn't I tried restart the game I tried restart the pc, I was on pc BTW. I ended up unistalling the game and reinstalling it. And props to console for saving worlds to the actual system because windows doesn't do that. I ended up loosing all my worlds including the one me and my girlfriend were playing on together. We were thinking about playing the game that day. But plans ruined. Fuck bedrock.

This Version is so damn buggy. When Bedrock released a few friends of mine couldn't even join my world anymore for around 2/3 Years. It randomly got fixed but it was damn annoying no mather what you did you couldn't join me. And if that wasn't enough with the bedrock update all my legacy world corrupted :(

Mob spawning is atrocious and so as other things from bedrock. However theres a way to chill down mob spawning by switching simulation distance to 6. And one of my main gameplay problems is how slow the regeneration is, it's practically useless to heal by time you at 3 hearts or you should say good game. And doesn't feel fair especially that simulation distance 4 is the default setting along with strange death glitches that can be rare that hasn't happened yet to me. Besides me dying when entering the Nether.

i play on windows 10 edition on a decent PC, pretty much undeniably the best way to play bedrock edition atm, and its just as bad. loading times and menu lagginess make it feel so much more clunky then java edition, and everything feels off. theres a lag to literally everything, like ghasts are almost impossible to fight because they are delayed, you hit it dead on and it just stops for a bit or literally carries on going. farms just dont work on multiplayer worlds, and everything is glitchy, when i stack up blocks i always end up inside of them, getting moved outside and falling down, sometimes to my death if i dont have an elytra. on 2 separate occasions my fireworks just dont work: i jump, and start gliding in the nether, launch a firework and theres a delay of 2-5 seconds sometimes for no reason at all, making me die in lava because i cant boost myself up before hitting it.

Bedrock is way too bugged all around. It's not even minor gameplay bugs or glitches i cant even go into the Nether (Using PC Bedrock, Java runs so much on my pc better with loads of mods without using optifine or sodium or anything) without spawning ontop of a river of fire and getting killed an knocked into lava before the Nether even loads.
