I love Guinea Pig,, only certain places.. there is one in Ibarra a little town named Chaltura , there is a restaurant that makes the best .. if you ever want it to try go there and try. Have fun in Ecuador. I love Ecuador. We just restored a house there in 2018 I was there for a month, had to come back due to moms needed help otherwise I would of stay for longer. Plans to go back 2020 it did not happen and 2021 even worse. We will see how the situation goes. Stay safe guys don’t take advantage that you are young that nothing will happen just use common since where ever you go.

I tried it once just to say I'd tried it. It was actually at a restaurant at Mitad del Mundo. We live in the Andes now (in the mountains just outside of Cuenca) where eating cuy is the norm but I've still only had it once. It was actually good but, growing up in the USA, it isn't something that sounds appetizing.

Yes it's like a rabbit or a partridge, but is not cheap :/

I am an Ecuadorian (Manabi, Coast side) we DO NOT like Guinea pigs we actually have them as pets and when I found out that in the Sierra they eat them I cried. I hate that some tourist think that we all eat that when it’s not true

I was just at Ciudad Mitad del Mundo beginning of August with my 2 kids and my wife. We had so much fun. The kids loved the monument and the interactive museum at the actual middle of the world. This video was so fun to watch. Thank you for posting and keep enjoying Ecuador.

I love this so much! I lived in Ecuador when I was a kid. And this is exactly how I remember it. For a second, I thought you were only going to go to Mitad del Mundo and I was so sad. But you got the full, charming experience! 🎉

Thanks for your post. We went to Mitad Del Mundo yesterday and found it very interesting but were bummed when we found out that Museo Intinan closed at 4 pm so were too late to be able to see both. Make sure to go early enough to see both!

Thanks for watching! Glad you could go to Mitad del Mundo. Didn’t realize Intiñan closed so early! Definitely better to go to attractions right as they open so you can be the only ones there

Hey LCA Fam!!!! Congrats on your 10K- popped over here to check out your channel and are so stoked you have content from Ecuador and Peru. We're heading to Quito for the next 6 weeks and then Peru for a few months. While watching this vid we were like "hmmm they look familiar" and then Gladys and Kenny popped up! We saw you over on their video from this day- too funny. Looks like we're going in opposite directions- we just finished up Central America and are heading to South America. Looking forward to what you get up to in Guatemala- we LOVED LOVED LOVED that country.

How do you guys do laundry in South America? It is not common to find laundry machines in Ecuador
@EricandSarah2 жыл бұрын
We always used laundromats! We’d ask our Airbnb/hostel hosts for the best place in town and go there :) Or often places will do your laundry for an additional cost.

Hi Guys, love your videos! My Beautiful wife Hilda first took me to Ecuador in year 2002. Her wonderful family took me to many places including here. It was Beautiful at that time including indiginous(sp?) dancers. I have been back and forth to Ecuador several times since then. I have tried cuy twice, over rated and over priced in my humble Gringo opinion.

The first ecuador line was measured by the French Geodesic Mission in 18th century that’s why is not too accurate considering the technology at that time. The current one is measured with modern equipments. The mistake wasn’t on purpose.

Oh absolutely. Definitely not intentional... but makes for a funny visit when there's "two" equators :)
