i stopped in ayampe at random in 2005 when i was there, stayed with cuatro estrellas in one of his bungalos right on the beach for 10 dollars a night. my ex bf and i were the only gringos in town at the time, ayampe hadnt become a tourist destination yet. cuatro was a rad dude, if he is still there i encourage anyone to stay at one of his spots on the beach.

Our furnace connection was snipped and put behind the wall for some reason! We only realized this when we put the fridge in 2 years later.. we still haven’t fully connected it with a switch. Wish I had more information for you!

The flattened rice on top of the ice cream in your halo-halo is called "PINIPIG". A NEWLY harvested rice still with shell is cooked on big wok and while still hot it is transfered to a wood with big hole on it and isbeing pounded until the shell of every rice grain is separated from the rice grain that is flattened then the shells are being discarded using winowing fan. At least that is how the traditional way of making PINIPIG rice like those on top of your Halo Halo.
