I feel the same way. I think people just don't like change and will complain about any amount of change

I think the big issue in terms of arguing about Minecraft in any sense is the sandbox nature of the game. Anything you do--how you interact, how you build, how you choose to play the game--is a reflection of yourself. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to go back to the 'good old days' but at some point you gotta look inwards because there is no solution that will satisfy you. Someone might be able to play the older versions, but they can't turn back time on the broader community or culture surrounding Minecraft. We can also try to impose our own ways of how we play the game onto other people's experiences, like assuming they want what we want or that our solutions are their solutions. I don't think that's the way either. Going backwards or forwards is entirely relative with a game like Minecraft. Good and bad are defined by how you are in the present moment, and focusing on the present gives you greater control over yourself. True happiness comes from within. Stay floppin

I mean I would say I largely agree with what you have said here, I would add that essentially my point though in this video is that I don't understand why people get mad at the developers for updating the game and saying stuff like old Minecraft was better when they more so miss the time in there life when old Minecraft was around as opposed to the game itself and you get that feeling when watching old Minecraft videos you watched in the past, the simplicity of it all. Ultimately anyone who misses old Minecraft and no longer plays it now that is fine because that was also me for the longest time but I acknowledged the reason I stopped playing isn't because of the game and more just I moved on. I think anyone criticising the developers for attempting to improve their game because it loses nostalgia is just missing the point tbh. Anyway nice comment anyway :)

To those who say that the community by large wants the game to be more complex, I would like to point out that from way back in 1.7.10 you had people making insanely complex things like GregTech: New Horizons.

*If you want to tick yourself off, look up this opinion...* 'Old Nether was better'
@Saatie_Ай бұрын
For real it makes no sense like there was literally nothing to do in the old nether

@@Saatie_: All I have heard brought up in favor of the old Nether is the 'heck vibes', but that just seems fallacious to me.

I don't really do PvP so I've never really cared about the combat both versions are about the same for dealing with mobs But I completely agree with the second take I will never get why people complain about new content especially since all the new content is optional and improves the game
@Saatie_Ай бұрын
I think you also raise a good point about the combat in that there is a lot of people who don't play PvP anyway so changing the combat again would just be stupid. But yeah for the updates to the game I think the more the better!

The new combat system is great, but the shield implementation is what made it so terrible for pvp. I remember watching the dream vs technoblade fight that mr beast hosted and cringing hard at how combat boiled down to staring longingly at the other player and waiting for them to make a mistake. There is hardly anything you can actively do against a person with a shield since breaking their shield leaves you at a disadvantage. Axes breaking shields honestly feels like a shoehorned solution to the problem when they could’ve made shields far more interesting than a blanket invincibility cone in front of you.

Yeah I definitely agree with that I think a lot of work could be and should be done on the combat but I think the base idea of no spam clicking and crits is a more fun style then just *click* and aim.

As a player since 1.6, I couldn’t agree more. I much love the new additions that were made (The Neather and Cave updates were my favorite). However, I don’t feel that the game is getting too complicated, but rather that it needs something more to the crafting system instead of more ways to get a decorative block. Like when are we getting functionality to the fletching table? When is copper going to have a set of tools and armor? Heck, what about amethyst? Perhaps even a cooking update? Quality of life updates like these are somthing I alwayes hope for but never get outside of a mod.
