Laine has 117 points in his last 129 games while struggling mentally in a place he doesn't want to be. I'm not a Habs fan, but I've been rooting for laine this entire time. The media has loved to ignore that Stat line and push an agenda that he can barely play anymore. With his size and skill, he can dominate a shift like no other player on the Habs can. Get him in the right mindset in a situation where he's happy, and he's pushing for 40 goals and 80 points. I guarantee it.

If Kirby dach stays healthy and has a great year and so does Anderson and Armia they will be in the playoffs but they got to change up the coaching some they have to be a lot more responsible in the defensive zone and give their goaltending and D-men more support than they did last year

I have faith in Monty to give us a chance every game this year, he has turned into a solid, dependable goalie behind a young, inexperienced team. He is underrated and I think he will shine this year with a better team in front of him. Primeau isnt there yet, but hopefully he can make the jump this year and be a solid backup behind Monty.

So it was a quiet night with nothing happening on a Thursday a couple weeks from the opening of the NFL so i sat and watched a CFL game from start to finish for the first time in my life and the kicker missed a game winning field goal off a tee from 30 yards and is disappointed as they then tell me he won the game by kicking the freaking ball out of the end zone .That my friends is mickey mouse football ,what a farce to end it like then when it actually was a entertaining game till that point in time .At the least eliminate that rule in the final 2 minutes of the game ,Oops the final 3 minutes ..another WTF on that one ..and they wondered why the entire upper deck was empty .

The defence is a work in progress,we need to be patient with the boys and marty is the man for the job,GO HABS GO.

Goalies somewhat better statistically to the Leafs. I also think the defense is better with Habs versus Leafs. Many people seem to forget that Habs had the most injuries last year. Basically no second line center Dach, New hook missed almost half the season. No 3rd line center Dvorak etc.

Not this year, they still don't have a true #1 goalie to carry them all the way. Montembault is really a bkacup playing starter. When hopefully one of their goalie prospects establishes himself then, yes they could be. Won't happen next year though.
