Hi Cinematic thanks for the video. Just wondering, I'm on the verge of spending a lot of money on a figure. The figure I have in mind has the same gold sticker at 5:04 and I was wondering how to tell if it's genuine and not being scammed? Thanks :)

A few questions: Are you buying it on eBay? If so, is the seller in China or any other country other than Japan? If the seller is from Japan, in my experience, you should be good to go. If the seller is in China, I would pass for a Banpresto figure. If you are buying the figure from a reputable online store, check the store’s customer feedback. Hope this helps. Thanks for actually replying 😂 one seller is from eBay, the other is from Amazon - both from Japan. Both sellers appears to be a figure stores with over 6,000 sales (each) and something like 99.5% positive feedback. Amazon don’t have specific photos since that’s just how the platform works. I’ve asked for more specific photos from the eBay seller and they’ve got the gold domestic toei sticker in the correct position and the font looks legit. He’s even got a refund policy, which a lot don’t which I assume is because they’re going not legit. …I mean after reading this it’s going to make them very legit, but still I’m new and it’s a lot of money 😂 Thanks for the reply :)

Abdul Bari Kayali I want to say Yes because most, if not all, Banpresto figures are made in China due to the fact that production there is cheaper. However, I believe that fake figures are made with Chinese materials, therefore are cheaper and with less quality. Thank you for watching.

Hi, i bought a figure from a legit anime dvd store in Australia but it has no toei sticker on the box. All the other figure's I've got from the same store do have a sticker. Does banpresto sometimes not put a sticker. Everything looks real the box and paint job but no sticker.

Seanio Bandarez That’s pretty strange coming from a legit store as you described. How long ago did you buy it? Do you live close to that store? I’m asking because if I were you I’d go and ask the manager of that store. I’d be like: “Hey, I have bought other figures here and all came with a Toei sticker but this one. Do you know why? Did you get it from the same distributor?” If the manager doesn’t know you could ask for a way to contact the distributor. If the paint job, box, and everything else looks legitimate, it gives you a peace of mind. Many times the poor paint job and the eyes gives it away. Thanks alot for your reply. I bought it just a couple of days ago and don't live close. i sent them a email but i'll phone and ask the things you've suggested. I've done a lot of research none of the boxes on youtube are missing the sticker. I've seen the fake box on ebay its missing 2 of the symbols on the box, mine has the symbols. Apart from missing the sticker on mine everything seems to match up the paint jobs perfect just really bugs me there's no sticker lol. I appreciate the advice.

Seanio Bandarez Yes, I heard you about feeling bugged by it. It is like an itch lol I totally understand you. I’ve been there. So, yeah call them just out of concern or curiosity. They should understand, you know. It could be that the box is not original but the figure.

Same here,i got 13 original Dragon Ball figures and only one has an sticker on the box.They are all original non the less..So sticker or no sticker,that’s not working..Not all regions has stickers on the boxes..What works is the packaging,if the box feels good and the pieces are wrapped individually in plastics you know the figure is legit and not a fake.

As long as the box has the corresponding sticker, I’d say yes. If there’s no box, then check the painting of the figure, especially the eyes.

PuBG vN Correct. Take this with a grain of salt, I’ve read that bootlegs have fake stickers. Supposedly, the real toei stickers have a watermark that can be seen when removed. Thank you for your feedback ✌️🏻

Rayhan Ihsan Nasution I don’t have those figures but I like Franky and Jinbe (Franky a little more). It’s good that you have been skeptical before buying. That’s a good thing nowadays. About the stickers I only know the bit I shared in this video. Do you have access to eBay where you live? If you buy the figures on eBay (from Japan sellers), then you will be getting originals.
