This is something that shouldn't happen and you don't need this problem when your travelling. Thanks for sharing

G'day, you certainly have had a rough time. Apparently, the windows appear to be not suitable to be fitted to an offroad van, press the manufacturer to fit a better quantity window, or the same problem will occur again. Most manufacturers will step up to the plate especially after the courts ruling recently to give an owner a complete refund who had 12 faults, It didn’t meet Consumer Expectations .But it is a good result the manufacturer is going to look after you .With the trucks I generally get on the UHF and let the truckie I will pull over and like them pass when it safe to do so, most truckies are good and appreciate the call. Safe travels

Hopefully you get fixed quickly, luckily it wasn’t worse like you said the road train could have ripped it right off

I could have been a lot worse , luck I caught it in time. Hopefully it will stay together with the tape until I get back to Perth Go caravanning they said , fun times

@@Huntingoz-uw6qp hopefully they rectify the problem before my SRT19 turns up, they are usually pretty good at changing things that are causing warranty claims

I had a crusader and both bedroom windows came apart and that was before we even started the trip , it was only parked on the footpath..

Is it worth slowing right down and moving over to the left as much as possible every time you see a truck coming? Or is that unreasonable and the van should handle the strong buffeting wind. The windows need redesigning maybe.
@Huntingoz-uw6qpАй бұрын
@@Malc664 if you watch the whole video I explain why on some of these back country roads you can't move over. I operate heavy transport for a living and this is to try and help others that have little experience. Some back roads are narrow, in need of repair have no shoulder to move on to and a jaggered drop off. Yes slow right down , use you UHF and move over the most you can but if you don't understand that tripples can sway over a meter in the rear trailer you will have problems. I drive trucks hence I know and are trying to explain the back roads .These windows do separate regardless, and wind force will pull them up if they split, we're not on a 6.2m highway out here.
@Malc664Ай бұрын
@@Huntingoz-uw6qp Yeah those narrow back roads are a problem. More narrow than I first thought. Parking bays would be ideal, then UHF comms before proceeding. Idk mate. 100 mil between you is scary. So do you think the truckies should slow down more? Thanks for the Gorilla tape tip.

@@Malc664 Time is money to them so they always push the boundary 90% are brilliant with speed , UHF and safety .it's only the 10% that don't care , but in saying that it's the same with caravanners , most are good but alot have no idea

I don't think it matters what brand or what price you shell out from my experience all vans will have some faults. We had a new13ft Jayco it leaked easy fix, now have a 16.67 Jayco not one problem so far. Friends spent $110000 on a Millard the thing didn't make it out of the showroom yard and the whole side split open.
